Default Share your thoughts and enter gift certificate give-away

Do you have a wacky, funny, or unusual fat story? Did you gain weight in an
odd way, lose weight in an odd way, invent your own diet, or have
anything unusual you would like to share with others? Did you try Slimming Slippers, or Fat-Away Soap? Your story could be in our book, due on the shelves in Jan, 2006.

Please email us at 3FCbook@ gmail.com , or you can PM us.

Our book will be a lighthearted look at dieting, and at today's popular diets.
Your story doesn't have to be funny or outrageous to be in the book, but it might help.

We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Red face funny story

Boy, was my face red : when I was bending over the bath tub preparing my bath water. Little did I know my grandbaby had come into the bathroom behind my naked body, bent over the tub, and said,"Man, MawMaw, that has got to be the biggest butt I've ever seen!" OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES! Needless to say, I sent her out of the bathroom and am very careful from now on. Diane in Texas

Default trying just about anything

I know I can't be the only one to do this, so I thought I would share and let you all laugh with me. We all have at one time or the other purchased or mail ordered something crazy to use to try and lose weight. This was a few years ago and now I don't know what I was thinking, but I mail ordered this suit that you were supposed to hook up to your vacumm cleaner to lose weight. The vacumm was to help suck the weight away while you excerised with this silver plastic suit on that helped make you sweat. WHAT WAS I THINKING!
Get this! I actually put the thing on and tried it..LOL

Default Dandi trying this again

Hey all!
I'm new here, but I thought I'd say Hi to all of you fine people.
I'm back up to 290 lbs and I don't want to stay this way.
Before this, I was at 370, but I got down to about 235 for a while, but I've been creeping back up for the last couple of years.
Basically, I have been limiting the carbs and oils in my diet, but I've been cheating more than I've been staying on it. I don't eat Rice, or Pasta, or Bread of any sort. I also don't eat red meat, or things that look oily.
This I could get back to, but the biggest hindrance is the exercise. I used to go dancing about three times during the week and every Saturday, when I was dating. That isn't happening anymore, because I don't have someone to dance with anymore. It was fun exercise, but now it isn't so much fun alone.
On top of that, I work WAY too much, so I don't eat right when I do get home, and it's usually about eleven at night, so eating right before bed isn't good. It is so tempting to go to fast-food when I'm working late.
Talk to you laters.

Hi:
I just found this website by accident while I was surfing and boy am I glad I found it! I have been on and off Atkins for the past year,,,in total I have lost 51lbs, but I would love to lose another 45lbs. I want to find a better diet, one that has more fresh fruits and veggies incorporated into it. I am thinking WW and will try the wendie concept that I read on here. If anyone wants some support, let me know...
