Default Assistance filling a goodie basket

I have a friend that is going to have the Laprascopic surgery next month and I'm trying to think of items I can put in a goodie basket. If any of you have any ideas - things you really wanted, enjoyed or craved after your surgery - I appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks!
Melissa

Default Goodie Basket

Having just had a lower body lift on Sept 13, I can relate to this question.

Some hand lotion that smells nice (not to strong). Some baby wipes to clean the face and arms. Some easy on the tummy snacks, like small packages of graham crackers, jelly beans, lifesavers. A good book. Maybe some individual containers of her favorite juice.

Just a few ideas

Are you allowed to eat jelly beans and graham crackers after such a surgery?

Usually you can't have anything with sugar or even solids for the first couple of weeks. My mom appreciated getting a journal, a disposable camera, chap sticks, hand lotion, and sugar free hard candies/ jello. Flowers and plants are always welcomed.

How about some books, word search, cross word puzzles, things like that, good video movies or dvd's.

sf drink powders, like crystal light. herb teas. chewable form of calcium. gift certificates for things like taking out the garbage, cleaning out the litter box- anything that involves lifting or bending.

a nifty neat water bottle. sanitary pads to absorb the drainage.

and sorry chris, as wonderful as your ideas are, no juice, no sugar, no crackers.

I KNEW you'd say sanitary pads Jif! I think I've been around here too long or something.

Melissa, a friend gave me a goodie basket when I had surgery and my favorite thing in it was a Game-boy type Tetris game. How about some slip-on type slippers?

Default Flat tummy

It is so cool (course it looks all green, yellow, purple), but to be able to see my toes is so neat. Am not in a lot of discomfort--course the percosit helps a lot.

Had a lower body lift done and then she harvested some fat from my tummy and put it into my butt--so now I have some butt.

Feeling good, just stiff and tired
