Good Morning Gang!

my weekend was so busy and stressful that I'm thrilled to be at work this morning! It is nice and calm and quiet here compared to home and I'm enjoying every minute of it. wonder if anybody would notice if I unplugged the phones?

I need to get to work, but wanted to drop in here first!

Hope everybody has a good day!

hugs,
cathy

Hello Ladies...

The Bday party went well... all except one thing... sigh. I thought it would be a nice gesture for Brit to have her mom at the party. It turns out Brit didn't tell her about the party aspect of it all, just the slumber party. I'm beginning to wonder if there was a reason for that. Either way. I invited her mom just to be the nice person. So all through the party she was complaining about how hot it was in the house and how small the party was. Hello?! I'm not about to have 30 million kids in my house. There were 8 kids there, I think that was a god size party. Sigh then after my parents left, right in the middle of everything, she asks me... "Is your mom on drugs" HOLY COW she has some nerve. Well I was thinking a few four letter words... but either way. My mom has a happy go lucky personality and she loves kids. And yes, she's on drugs. She is on a variety of pain medication for her tendonitus, she has had cortizone shots in her elbow (which explains the brusies) and she wears like these beg-gay or aspercream patches. UUG... I really wanted to kick her out of my house. the more I think about it, the more I just wanna cry. How rude can one person be. I have to deal with this constantly. We went through the grab bags that were left over cause she wanted a set of those itty bitty grab bag size uno cards. So I got one for her, then she goes, you can't have any of this candy because you are on a diet. I'm like excuse me? She goes I saw your picture on the fridge (the one of me 25lbs lighter) and she goes "It's hard for us fat people to lose weight". I pretty much walked away and locked myself in the bedroom to keep from knocking her big head off her shoulders...

I guess it could have been worse, specially since TOM is here. You know how that PMS shortens your patience. Wait, I don't have patience. hmmm well either way.

I'm sorry to complain so much... sigh...

Needless to say, TOM is here, I've got cramps, and man my fuse is short all in all, the party went well, the kids had fun with the Dance Dance Revolution game we got for the playstation. I have so much food left over! The kids didn't want to eat, they wanted to play the dance game LOL. I have enough food here for 3 more parties!

I've fallen off the wagon this weekend... and I fell hard. That comment about my mom really depressed me. My mom may be a pain in the rear end, but no one has that right to talk about my mother like that... sigh. I'm angry, frustrated and upset. The most important thing tho... Brit had fun and so did her friends. I wasnt about to ruin it for her by tossing her mom out of my house. Thats all the really mattered for me was that Brit and her friends had a good time. I got quite a few good black mail photos to LOL. We did the pudding dunk for gummy worms. I printed out the thank you cards for each kid to give to their parents, and on the inside of the card it said...

Thank you for coming to my Birthday Party - September 2004

Then on the other side of the card, I printed the picture of each kids pudding face LOL! Then underneath it said " I hope you had some fun!!"

Ahh well... I'm gonna go scream into a pillow.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Default awwwwwwwwwwww SueMarie!

Sue Marie,
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...... I am so sorry someone hurt you......you sound like such a sweetheart to me..even inviting the person you did.
Remember when people are unhappy they seem to like to make harsh & mean remarks and make others unhappy. She sounds unhappy herself. Your party sounded great and I bet it was!

You KNOW your Mother and love her.....................try to forget the unkind remarks because you know you have a great Mother!

SueMarie, don't let some one else determine your selfworth. This woman is obviously an !!!!! You need to tell James to tell her to shut up. If she can't be cordial in your home than she won't be invited back...PERIOD!!!

People who act like her you gotta feel sorry for, because by her making those nasty comments and trying to belittle you, it makes her feel better about her pathetic life. Seriously, she is one hurting puppy. I give you alot of credit for holding your tongue, I would have riped her a new orfus, but I bet you were probably shocked at the time.

One time this old bag walked into the supermarket elevator w/me and my DD and she had the nerve to say to me, while looking at my little girl "she doesn't miss a meal does she" I was shocked and I should have said something back but I was like DUH!!! Her comment just threw me and I was speachless. No more will anyone say anything b/c I am on my guard now LOL !!!!!!!!!!!

ROAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad the party was nice and Brit enjoyed it, thats that counts.

Your a sweetheart babycakes !!! don't you forget it.

Hugs !!

SueMarie,

that was awful nice of you to invite Brit's mother to the birthday party! I'm sorry her mother is not as nice as you! I totally agree that she is probably very unhappy and was trying to hurt you and make you feel "unhappy" too. Personally, I doubt that I would invite her back and give her a chance to do it again.

You sound like you were very patient to me! so be proud of yourself for being the better woman!

And the important thing is that the birthday party went well and it sounds like Brit had a great time! You are so thoughtful and what a nice thing to do with the thank you notes. awwwwwwwwww

And wasn't it Elleanor Roosevelt that said something like "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission."

SueMarie, girlie - don't ya let anyone dictate how you feel about yourself! (and yes I'm talking to myself too). You are very SPECIAL! we all know it and you know it too!

((((((((hugs))))))))))
