Hi All!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We had a good time, church was rough, they had to page me because Peter was freaking out in the nursery! But the rest of the day was great!

I weighed myself this AM, and am using it as my official weight. I'm going to start weighing in on Monday AMs. I really have to get serious about this. Clothes shopping is horrible. I went to look for a dress on Saturday, for Easter, and couldn't find anything!! If I don't do something, I'll be naked by the time Summer comes!!

hi all. We had a nice Easter here. We had family over for the day. Today everything is put away. My chocolate bunny is in the freezer. And I gave all the dessert away.

I am tracking again. Kind of got away from keeping points while gone and have been so busy since I got back. I don't like it when I don't take the time for myself to do the things I want to do. It messes me up every time.

Spring is here - although it's cold today - and summer is coming up. Gotta do this right!

Hello everyone, I'm back.............................

Extremely tired so this will be short. We had a nice visit with my mom and dad. I worked all weekend at their place getting laundry caught up and other things caught up. I also cleaned out my mom's closet and got rid of most of her clothes because they were all to big for her. This was a very hard thing for her to let me do, but we got thru it. She is doing about as good as can be expected. She has lost about 23lbs since 3/8/04. She looked a little different than when I seen her in October of last year, due to more weight loss. It's so hard for me to see her like this. I would leave her house each evening with such a heavy heart because in a sense she is not the same as she was even a year ago. Basically she just laid in bed or sat in her chair while I was there. I took her to Target Sat to get her another robe, and it took us a long time to just walk thru the store to get that one thing. She has a really hard time getting around. Although DS and I got her to ride one of the motarized carts and she did fairly well. We had one little accident where she ran into a clothes rack and kept going and would not stop until I said "Mom stop the cart". Then she realized what she done. It gave me and DS a chuckle.

Hope everyone had a good Easter. I will type more when I get some rest.

hello.

Jackie - I'm so happy for you that you were able to go spend time with your mom.

not much new here. I am happy with myself today because I got up and rode the bike this AM even though I am playing tennis for an hour. Nice to get that extra exercise in! I have started my journal again online also.

Hi guys,

Whew, it's been a busy few days here. We made our whirlwind trip to Maryland. Alex did fabulous in the car. I had worried about that. We went to Atlantic City on Monday. MIL watched Alex in a room while we played. We did well. We only lost $9.00. DH was off Monday and Tuesday. It was fun having him home. I get SO lonely here sometimes. That's the bad part of SAHM.

Jack: I'm so glad you got to spend some time with your mom. I hope she is feeling better soon.

Lauren: Glad you had a great Easter.

Rabbit: Yeah on the exercise.

RR: Yeah on the no snacking.

Hope everyone is having a super day.

Hi Guys,

Where is everyone? Hope you are all out doing something fun. We went on a tour of our Wegman's (grocery store) this am. I thought an hour tops...it took almost two hours!! It was fun. Alex was in dire need of a nap so we didn't get to stay for lunch with the Mom's.

Hi All,

I'm here reading, just don't have a lot of time!

Karen, i went to the Wegman's down by my Aunt in Marlboro, after all the build up she gave me, I was less than impressed. It was cool, but prices waaaay too high!

Rabbit, Congrats on the loss.

Good evening all...................................

RR: Hope your are doing okay.

Karen: Glad to see you back and glad you had a good time

Lauren: Hello....I hear you on the reading part. Things are a little tighter at work and can be tracked while on internet, so I am trying real hard to not even get on the internet at work.

Rabbit: Congrats on your .5 loss, as always, you are doing awesome.

Well we got our sheetrock hung in the house this week. It's coming slowly but surely.

My mom has been real sick since Tuesday and she goes to the Dr in morning for some fasting blood work. She has lost 30 lbs since March 8th. She is very weak and throwing up. I am so worried about her. I hope they can give us some news on her condition tomorrow. My Dad seems to think they might put her in the hospital. Well gotta run and pick out a stucco color for under the porch. Take care all.

Hi guys,

I think (crossing fingers to keep from jinxing self) that we are working out a sleeping schedule here. I've been doing my darndest to start heading towards bed by 8. He's been sleeping for an hour/hour and a half in his bed. Then a second round of 45 min to 1 hour. We are also taking naps in his bed. Hopefully soon he will sleep through the night. I made it into a toddler bed, I can put him in it without dropping his the last inch or so. I have pillows on the floor in case he falls. During his naps I sit in the rocker and read. We both have a bit of down time. I am also working on weaning him. I'm no longer letting him nurse to sleep and when he wakes at night I don't offer the boob. Some nights are better than others. Last night he only woke twice and didn't need boob either time. (Night before last he woke every hour/two hours.) When he woke at 6 I let him nurse and man, did he nurse! For about an hour!! I guess he was afraid to let go. Afraid he might not get it back. Once he gets used to going to sleep at 8 and not nursing to sleep I may move the time to 7:30.

Lauren: I found Wegman's prices to be the same as A&P/Shoprite, except for the specialty meats. Those are more expensive, but supposedly they are better quality. I am trying one of their prepared kabobs today. It was expensive but it just looked so darn good. It's already marinated all I have to do is cook it. During Alex's morning nap (which he took in his crib :happydance I prepared fresh corn. When DH gets home all I have to do is put it in the microwave and throw some salad in bowls. He's grilling the meat. I hate the grill. Open flames aren't my favorite thing. Also, about Wegman's, I like their perks. They provide an attended playroom for 3-8 year olds. There are different sized carts depending on your shopping needs. Well, that used to be good for me. Alex loves riding in the truck shaped carts so I use those now.

Jack: I hope your mom gets a good report from the doctor. I'm sorry she's not feeling well. I hope they can do something for her. Yeah on getting work done on the house.

OK, now that my unpaid advertising for Wegman's is done, guess I'll go now!! Hope everyone is having a super day.

Hi All,

Karen, you're too funny! They don't have any fancy carts at the Pathmark I usually go to, but that's usually an after work, or late at night thing anyway. They have all that cool stuff at the Shop Rite, but I'm paranoid about the little truck ones...guess I'm afraid he'd jump out or something!! They have the ones at BJ's that have a little bench in the front though, looks like a park bench, KWIM? We're going there this weekend, so I am going to try and get one for Peter to try out.

Hope the sleeping situation works out for you! Has he been trying to climb out?! Peter hasn't tried to climb out yet. I figure once he does, we'll teach him to do it the right way, and lower the sides for him. I'm thankful he doesn't though, because once he does, I'll have to empty out his room for fear he'll hurt himself!

I can't wait to see Alex again! I can't believe he's just about a year!! What are his favorite toys these days? Peter is soo into books right now, and bubbles! He LOVES bubbles!! I'm trying to teach him how to ride his little ridey thing, you know the little tykes ride on scooter thing? He doesn't get it. He still loves the vacuum too, completely freaks out laughing, screeching, and dancing around when I turn it on!! What a weird kid I have!!

Jackie, I'm sorry to hear your mom is still soo sick. I will continue to pray for her.

Hello again,

Lauren: Alex *loves* the truck carts. There are seat belts. I belt him in and he hangs on to BOTH steering wheels. He tries to get the horns to beep but he's not quite strong enough. He loves any toy that he can crawl and push along the floor. His car, the box of wipes, the pegboard bench. He's not into books, well, unless you count eating them. He'll come up to me with a piece of cardboard in his mouth just chewing away. So far he hasn't tried to climb out of the bed. I'm sure he will. I was just trying to find some way to get him to sleep longer. I *so* cannot believe he is almost 1. My baby's not a baby anymore.
