Default Tips

I thought I would share something I do when I make my husband's lunch salad. He doesn't like having to carry plastic containers home if he can help it, so when I make his salad for lunch, I put it in a baggie and put the salad dressing in one of those little snack sized baggies, close it up and put it in with the salad in the larger bag. He has a plate at his desk he uses, or you could just mix it all up together and eat it out of the bag. This method keeps the salad from getting soggy from the dressing between morning and lunch.

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone has a good weekend. It is supposed to rain here the whole time.

I am going to look at some houses this weekend to see what my options are. Hopefully my house will sell quickly and then I can get on with my life.

I think I will go back to TOPS on Tues. I needed a few weeks to get my act together.

At first I couldn't eat at all once I found out the news. Now I want copious amounts of chocolate. Figures.

Talk to you soon

In Welland. Not that far. I have friends that live in Oakville. Third line near the lakeshore.

Default just some thoughts

someone said dieting is the same as quitting smoking ...this is a lot harder than quiting smoking because you dont need ciggarettes but we do need food!!! i tell myself everyday that i am NOT on a diet but that i have changed my BAD eating habits. i have completely changed my way of eating and what i eat. i found out that i was eating out of habit instead of when i am trully hungry.(buzzer goes off at work...eat, hubby wants lunch...eat even tho i was not hungry yet.) now i am waiting till the tummy starts to growl and then i am eating healthy . instead of biscutes and gravy or eggs and bacon and hash browns i am eating yogert fruit and a cereal bar or bran cereal, skim milk, and banana. for lunch instead of buger and fries i have salad and cottage cheese or raw vegies ,yogert and lite turkey sandwitch. i really look at the labels at the store and am a lot more aware of what i am buying and eating. it is more expensive to eat healthy but i look at it this way ...i can afford 20 to 25 more dollars a week for food a whole lot easyer that having health problems.(doctor visits, meds, possably missing work, maybe even hospitalization) so it is really all in the mind and how we are going to look at this. you got to keep it up and this is not just for now it is for life!!!

good luck in keeping to plan

talk to you LIGHTER!!!

Speaking as an ex-smoker, quitting smoking is as hard to do as losing weight. I don't crave food as badly as I needed tobacco.

ok so i havent ever smoked .....but my point was that you could go without smoking even quitting cold turkey....but we cannot do that with food.

sorry if that upsets you.

It didn't upset me - I just find that it's easier to make better food choices while trying to lose weight than to go without tobacco when trying to quit smoking.
