Good morning,Sorry I haven't been around much.I have been reading all the post tho.
Marilyn-Thanks for using the bio.It is always nice to know a little about each other.
Also as a reminder --If anyone wants to receive e-mail we need your e-mail address
Yesterday was first day on new job.The girl on bike patrol babysat me for half the day which was a help.I am really going to like this job.Easy and no brain strain.Just what an old woman like me needs :
I am doing pretty good with eating and exercising. But weight is staying the same.See doc on Thursday and he may drop some of meds. That might help.
Most of you know I am in "training " for a one mile walk April7.I did 2 miles[5 laps] last night.Unbeleveable.My heart does great. It is my foot and knee.I was in pain when I finished. My smarty pants husband did 4miles {10 laps}Only kidding .My hubby is the best.
The doc took the pins out of finger yesterday. It is still taped to other finger but I didn't have to wrap hand in plastic to take shower.I just taped it back up after.
The pants my sister fixed are still too big.She is going to try something else today. It is very hard to cut men's pants down.To fit in hips they were 6+ inches too big in waist .
Well I have today off but have sooooo much to get done.
Hope everyone has a great day

Hi Christie,

I hope you are having a great day. It sure sounds like you are up beat today. That is a good thing. I think with the coming of spring (if it ever gets here) then people will do better and get out more. You are right this is a new day and it is fresh with no mistakes lets have great losses this week.

I hope that those that aren't here are not struggling. If you are struggling then this is the place to be to let us help you get back on track.

Penny and Summer are you out there. I know you guys can get back on track. Just set your mind to it and do it. You have what it takes and you know what to do. You have come a long way and we don't want to go backwards. Lets turn these struggles around.

Eleni,
First of all a huge congratulations to you
That is great that you did 2 miles. You are doing so well. Sorry to hear that your knees and legs hurt though. But it is a good thing that it doesn't bother your heart. Maybe when the doctor takes you off some meds then your eating will turn around. Are you taking anything now that makes you really hungry? It is always nice to get off meds.LOL
That is great that your hand is doing better to and that you like your job. Will you be able to walk at work like you wanted to do? I hope so.

I know that your sister will come up with something with your pants. Then you will be comfortable. Good luck with the sewing.

I am so glad that you like your job. Keep up the great work and maintaining isn't so bad you know. At least it isn't a gain and that is a good thing. Sometimes it is harder to maintain then lose. So you are doing great.

Remember we love you.

I am doing very good also. I have been on track since sunday now and I have not strayed. I do say a prayer to help me get through the day. And I didn't take any dexatrim yesterday and I made it through the day without too much problem. I did get hungry last night but I had 2 oranges instead of junk and I was still within my points. I also didn't have any cheese doodles (which I love) when I got them for my daughter. I yelled at myself again and said you are not having them and you are not going to have even one. I didn't. It was hard though I won't lie but I did it and that is all that counts.

Have a great day everyone.

Sherri

good morning all. Glad to hear everyone is doing great. I think I'm doing better. Was unable to make meeting last night, started therapy on my right hand. We went off the plan last night, and my stomach paid for it. I guess the fast food was the problem with my stomach and not the flu bug, or maybe a combination.
I'm tired my little guy had me up off and on since 3:00, may I should of stayed up instead of going back to bed at 5:00.
Well not much going on, glad everyone is doing so good, keep up the good work, and you are on my mind.

Hello ladies!!

I forgot to post yesterday. I read the posts though. My hectic schedule is almost over. I can't wait. I am hoping to get summer work soon, but in the meantime I just want this semester over. It is getting close to the end and the students are panicking and I am answering so many questions each day.

My soon-to-be-co-leader and I are getting together tonight to get the stuff ready for the installations on Wednesday evening. On top of that we are moving to a new location after wednesday night so we have to pack up all our stuff too. But we are moving to a better place more suitable to what we do as it is a building owned by a group that holds meetings and such similar to ours. They have a kitchen, lots of tables and chairs and a big meting room. I can't wait. I get to start my year off in the brand new location.

My plan is getting better. I ahve decided to do my best for the next couple of days until the installs are over and then on Thursday start over. I am on the RS foodmover so I am going to go back to the 1200 card for the next week to jump start my system again. I just can't get it going until Thursday so I have decided to not worry about it an start then.

Eleni - at the rate you are going you'll be able to walk those laps pain free in no time. I get pain in the outsideof my ankles when I walk, but it is getting a little better each time I goout with the dogs. Soon I hope to be up to a good hour of walking each day or so. Most of the ice is gone now and the temps are starting to get better too.

Sherri - congrats on staying on plan. I am going to get food this week at the grocery store that is just for me for snacks and such so that I am not as tempted to eat the wrong things.

Well, that's all for now. Talk later!!

Good morning (almost afternoon) everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great day!
I'm glad everyone is doing so well! Eleni--great job on the walk. Sherri, congratulations on the cheese doodle triumph! Alannah, your new meeting room sounds great
I weighed in last night and I lost a pound! Now I "only" have 10 1/2 lbs to go to my first goal! I thought about what some people had mentioned about being realistic and decided that a size 14 probably wasn't realistic for my 40th birthday. So I've decided to concentrate on one step of my goal at a time. This week I am concentrating on exercising every day. Either stepping in the morning or a walk on the beach at lunch.

Marilyn,

It sounds like you really thought about your plan and adjusted it to be more realistic. That is great. It will be more rewarding for you so that you can make your goals. It is also a good idea to work at smaller parts of it at a time like you are doing. Take it step by step instead of the whole picture at once.
Congratulations on the loss and keep up the great work. Maybe you want to join the goal thread. You can set a goal for yourself for the week (usually thurs-thurs) but it can't be a weight goal. It has to be something to keep you on track for the week to get you closer to your goal.

Alannah,

You are so lucky. You get leader and you get a new place. It sounds great. What a fresh start for your whole chapter. Maybe that is what you guys need.
That is a great idea to start back on plan after installations. There will be less stress for you after that (hopefully)LOL.

Wendy,

Get some sleep and start fresh tomorrow on your plan. You will do fine. Keep up the great work.

Sherri
