Good Morning Chickadees!

If I remember right Leenie is getting her hair done this morning, so I'm starting this "bad boy" up!

April - good to see ya late last night. How ya doing girlie? I was wondering with all your coffee drinking what kind of coffee do you like? Community Coffee is the big name brand down in Louisiana that most of us drink. I love my 2 cups in the morning. Do you drink decaf or regular?

What's everybody up to today?

What's everybody doing for exercise today?

What about water? how much is everybody drinking?

What about food? what's everybody eating today?

Are ya'll tired of me yet?

I had oatmeal and milk for breakfast, and then a slice of wheat toast too bec I was starving. Gonna have an apple afterwhile for a snack. Already had 40 oz of water (boy am I being good) and hope to walk at the mall during lunch today, if nobody changes my plans. If I make it today that will make everyday this week that I've walked. Tomorrow I am planning on doing very little cleaning and I'm gonna do my Leslie Sansone 4 mile walk aerobics tape first thing.

I heard on the national news that the windchill temp in New Hampshire today is -100. I cannot even imagine what that is like. I mean I honestly cannot even pretend to conjure that up in my little Louisiana mind. How do people survive in that? how do they have running water, that hasn't frozen solid? and how do they go to work and school and do the things they need to do? do vehicles even run when it's that cold? seems like the oil would freeze up in that? I guess ya'll have special stuff for all of that coldness that we do not have here in Louisiana.

Ok gang, I have got to do payroll and stuff, even tho I would rather play in here. I will be back as soon as I can.

great big hugs,
Cathy

Hi Cathy, nope no hair doo until 12:00 did you decide on the GF grill ?

Yes the wind chill is down right aweful, here in NJ its -35 below. Burns your face and hurts your lungs if your out for more than a minute or 2. Worst its been in over 100 years that they can tell. Everyone is hungrier in the cold, more than normal, its funny to see people running to the vending machines going.... boy I'm SOOO hungry this week. Must be something the body does naturally. ??? who knows.

No plans for the weekend, its to cold. But they said and if I heard right it should be 30 degrees on Sunday......whoohoo heat wave !!! Get your shorts on.

I started to make this thread about 2 hours ago and got interupted so much I forgot.. I figured some one else had already beat me to it... Thanks !!!!! lol

I think we are having burgers for dinner, or maybe turky if it defrosts. I have no idea what lunch is going to be since I'll be looking at myself getting my hair done ICK!!!! during lunch. I'd like a big fat burger dripping with carbs but yah know. And a side order of chili cheese fries

Whats everyone doing this weekend ?

Good morning

Cathy.....I am feeling good....for 1 whole week....have been feeling good....since I added using the light box for 15 minutes in the P.M....along with the 1/2 hour in the morning.

I have lost 16.5 lbs. now....it's slow....but I am hanging in there.

DH & I use Columbian coffee beans....we grind them just before DH makes a pot....I buy the coffee beans at Costco.I have never heard of the brand you are talking about. We drink regular...not decaffinated.

Hi Leenie.

DH & I went to coffee with friends at Tim Horton's earlier this morning......there are some Tim Horton's in the states now....the chain was started in Canada by Tim Horton....the hockey player.

DH & I went out for dinner last night....there was a special on steak & lobster tail....it was good....but I ended up going off my eating plan....but am back on it today.

Angry Hello Ladies

Leenie: Glad to hear you're going to be warming up. The super cold weather can get really depressing after awhile. You'll have to post a picture of yourself with your new 'do

Cathy: BOY you are doing great! I need to get on the program with my water; food is so-so, exercise- . You asked about keeping warm up north. When we lived in Maine, we heated our house with wood. A lot of work, but what a nice comfortable warmth! A lot of people use heating oil (why gas prices are so high-they say ), and some use kerosene. Electric heat would cost a small fortune up there!

April: WTG on your weight loss. It may be slow, but it's coming off! I never realized that Tim Horton's was a Canadian company. We have a few down South.

Lynnie: Hello out there! Keep up the good work with WW!

Have a wonderful Friday

Hey there gals, well I made it for my walk during lunch! Yippee! That makes everyday this week!!!!

April, good to see ya! I think that Community Coffee is just available in Louisiana. I don't think you can get it anywhere else. I know that people that grew up here and have moved away are always calling home to have it sent to them. LOL and CONGRATS on the weight loss April! You have done great! and just like Leenie says "slow and steady wins the race!" YOU GO GIRL!

Joanne, good to see ya too! Hope things are going ok at your house! Thanks for answering my questions about heating homes up north. That's what I was thinking about - that the electric bills would be sky high when its cold like that. WOW! and great idea about Leenie posting a pic of her new do. Make her do it cause I wanna see too!

Ok well I have zillion more checks to write before I can get out of here this afternoon. Will check back later.

Where is the rest of our gang?

hugs,
cathy

Default Good afternoon ladies

Well I didn't sleep to well last night.I guess that the exercise I did yesterday really gave me some energy.Plus DH had a headcold last night and couldn't use his breathing machine; so his snoring also added to my not being able to sleep.
I got up this morning about 9:00 something and ate some oatmeal and fruit.I was so tired I layed back down. But I got alittle bit ago and was fully energized; put on my workout outfit and did 30 mins of aerobics.* 15 mins was after a bill collection call* Staying on this Fast Track is hard but I am doing it. When I get hungry I have been drinking more water because I know its boredom hunger.

Well I will bbl.
Tc and have a great day.

*hugs*

Good Evening Chickadees!

Lynnie, you are really doing great with all your exercise! wow 30 minutes today! AWESOME! you are really fired up!

Leenie, how does the new do look? do we get to se a pic?

Would it be ok if I say that I'm a little bummed out tonight? Most of ya'll know that my grandmother is in a nursing home. I've been trying to help my mom and aunt take care of her as much as possible, which usually means that I go once or twice a week to bring her lunch or supper and feed her, because she won't eat the stuff at the nursing home and isn't able to do anything for herself except lift a spoon to her mouth. Well this week I didn't have to go and I was able to walk every day during lunch and then did handweights a couple of nights when I got home. My grandfather, who is 87, has been having problems and had a lot of tests run over the past 2 weeks and found out that he has a spot on his lung that is cancer, and has to be removed. They will do surgery in a week or so and remove 1/4th of his lung. They are telling him that the surgery and recovery is very painful and will be especially hard at his age but has to be done. My aunt is having a knee replacement surgery on this Friday, which she has put off for a year now bec of taking care of her dying husband and now her mother. So that leaves me and my mom to take care of my grandparents for several weeks. Looks like I'll be bringing lunch to my grandmother everyday during the week to take some pressure off of my mom. Soooooooo there goes my noon time exercise. I don't mean to be selfish or sound selfish, but I just don't know how I'll be able to fit in the exercise that I desperately need over the next few weeks and/or months while we are tending to everybody. Oh well, now I feel bad for putting this down into words, but as you can tell it is on my mind. Oh well, I know I will just do what I can, and will get in some exercise whenever I can. Who knows maybe I will have a huge burst of energy and get up even an hour earlier then usual and get it done first thing in the mornings. or maybe I'll do like Scarlett O'Hara and "think about it tomorrow" LOL

sorry for whining!

I will see you guys tomorrow after I get my 4 mile walking tape done. That is my top priority for tomorrow. :-)

hugs,
cathy
