Hi Girls! I'm stopping in for a late-afternoon post. Been pretty busy with work and school, but I am at least trying to keep up with reading posts.
Aaron and Noodle are both doing very well. I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant, had another ultrasound today, and I got to see it wiggling and wriggling.
Sounds like everyone is losing losing losing, or at least motivated to get going with losing losing losing.
Laura, I was reading about CB's niece and nephew. If Mom can't take the time to do meals, how would something like Subway be? And maybe keep some of those prepared raw veggies in the house, like baby carrots, to eat on the side instead of the fries or potato chips? I know where you're coming from about being worried about the fast food and tv diet. I agree that it probably won't hurt them, but maybe if they get some healthier things in them they might physically feel better duringa tough time. Also, maybe a trip to a park to play would be beneficial. You or CB just has to sit on a bench and zone (just as you would at home while parked in front of tv

) and they can hopefully wear off some of their stress in a physical way. If the fast food is getting expensive, try this trick I learned as a nanny: take them to the store and let them pick out a TV dinner. Maybe it's not that much more healthy than a fast food emal, but it tends to be cheaper and at least it's a change for them. Also, pizza with the calcium in the cheese and the veggies in the tomato sauce might not be too bad of a way to go. Just my "way too much" input, as usual, right?
Kim, I went to private schools and then a public university. No, my family didn't have a lot of money, but my dad was a Lutheran pastor and felt it was important to keep his daughters in Lutheran schools. I feel that II really benefitted from smaller class sizes .Not to say public school isn't great (or I wouldn't be a public school teacher) but for me, it all comes down to class size -- that's what makes or breaks many a child in our educational system.
Anyway, enough unsolicited advice from Jayne

See you all next week!
