Depression and Weight IssuesHave you been diagnosed with depression, are possibly on depression medication, and find it affects your weight loss efforts? Post here for support!
I am working a day shift today....back to the land of the living....
Hubby is off today so he will run the house while I am away....
We had a pretty good weekend...dd and I did the 5k in an hour....it was great to be part of something that huge.....it was quite moving at times. We were even interviewed on the news.
Hope everyone has a great day and we will check back with you soon!
I'm doing better today than I was earlier. That might have something to do with my "monthly visit" being almost over but I'll take it. Thanks for the support everyone.
I'm about to go make myself a cup of coffee and do a load of laundry, despite the fact that I've been up all night.. I want to be on a regular schedule and be awake during the day but I keep switching! Half the week I'll sleep at night, the other half I'm nocturnal.
Hope everyone else is doing okay. for all you lovely ladies (and guys!) out there.
Liz glad the walk went well. I've always wanted to participate in something like that but, quite frankly, I'm to lazy...sad huh
Nothing much is new here today except its Monday. I learned this weekend (DUH) that I really need to stay away from the diet foods that are sweet but low carb, they bring on cravings like you wouldn't believe....not a good thing considering I ate about 600 calories in lc chocolates yesterday....
Live and learn lol
How's everyone, did you all have a great weekend ?
Hiya everyone.I am feeling alittle more like myself this morning.I am still very tired though. This is officially my PMS week.YUCK!!!!
Hubby sleep study went ok Saturday night; he said wearing the CPAP is a pain in the tush.I told him it will take some time getting used too but it will work if he lets it.OY!!!
But I hope everyone had a great weekend. Its a new week and I am trying to stay positive so far.
Good Morning Gang! good to see so many posts so early this Monday morning! :-)
It was 70 at 5:00 this morning. Doesn't feel like fall now. *sigh* and now it's raining, but hopefully it will be cooler behind the rain!
It's Monday and I've got tons to do.
I guess I have to bite the bullet and admit that Christmas is actually on its way. Need to get myself together and get started on that. Maybe I'll think about it tomorrow!
I went & walked at the mall earlier this morning for 20 minutes.....then came home to have breakfast & coffee.
I lost 2.2 pounds this week.....am back doing ediets.....am down 5.2 pounds in the last 2 months.....I seem to take 2 steps forward & 1 step backwards....but at least it's going in the right direction.
I think I am going to go & get some apples & make some applesauce today.
Liz....that's great about the 5k.
Lynnie.....I don't have the excuse about the PMS week anymore....like this morning....driving back from my walk.....got real sad & teary....was okay after about 20 minutes.

Hello Ladies....
I'm new to this thread, but not 3FC. I've been posting off and on at 300 + since July. I've been lurking here too-I even posted my bio, but I haven't done a regular post til today. I've had problems with depression for a long time. I'm not on any medication right now (I'd been on Wellbutrin previously). I'm just doing one day at a time with God's help. I'm also attending a TOPS chapter here in town. It's pretty good, but I really appreciate the support of all at 3FC.
Lynnie: My DH has had a CPAP for about 2 yrs. It took some getting used to; but it's working well for him. Not only does it help with the snoring (Praise God!) , but he's more rested too.
Liz: Great job w/your 5k run!
Leens: Hope your day goes well despite your boss
Cathy: I know what you mean about fall! I live in SE Georgia-we're going from almost fall to almost summer day after day
Navi: I'm the same way with sleeping. Some nights I sleep well-others I'm up til dawn
April: Sometimes those down periods have nothing to do with your monthly. Just letting it all out is all you can do.
Hi Joanne, welcome to the smallest corner of the world (but the nicest ) How's TOPs going for you ? I've heard so many wonderful things about it. I think there was a woman that used to post in 3FC's that lost 208 lbs ?? Can't remember, Cathy, Tippy, Liz, Cin, LindaT Sweetpea, anyone remember her ???? Anyway she was an inspiration to us all.
April, congrats on the 2+ lbs loss !!! The road ahead it not easy nor is it strait but as long as we keep walking we will reach the end sooner or later... Keep it up, your doing wonderful.
On the First Day Of Christmas my True Love Gave To Me !! la la lal ala......... here it comes zoooooooooom !!!!!! lololol
The banquet went pretty well. Joe and I found all sorts of things that went wrong of course. We did learn a few leasons about what to do next time. So, I guess something good did come out of it. We ended up raising about $8,000 for the organization.
I am starting fresh again today. (boy that sounds familiar to me) I am going into my fat burning phase in Body Rx. I am wanting to complete this phase with no mess ups. We will see how it goes.
Cathy what wonderful LA weather huh? To make it worse our AC at home went out for some reason last night. Nice and stuffy this moring.
Lynnie I like the new pic!
Glad you could join us Joanne.
Hey Linda is here again.
Leens how ya doin' (Bronx accent)
I hope that all of you guys are having a great Monday. I'll check back later.
Kemp - this Louisiana weather must be wearing out our acs! you are not gonna believe it but ours went out last night too. The ac man is suppose to meet hubby at 4:30 to look at it, they both seem to think it is simply a "relay switch" or something simply to fix like that! I sure hope they are right. I'm glad the banquet went well. $8000 is a lot of money! sounds like yall did a great job!
Leenie - I do remember that lady and I am trying so hard to remember her name??? was there a "z" in it? or a "g"? gosh I'm not much help ... does anybody remember.
Hey Leenie - at least when you mention Christmas you get Linda to run out and post with us! I sure do miss her! but I was really glad to get to chat with her twice this weekend! yea!
Hey Joanne, really nice to meet you! I really like your signature line!
Cin, you deserve to take it easy - you worked yourself silly before the surgery!
April, I've never tried to make applesauce. but it sounds good!
It was a pretty good day, too. After my grandson's B.D. party, I was sure I'd totally blown it and saw I only had 9 WW "flex points" left. I thought, geez, can I get through the week?
But so far, so good. I'd used up most of my points, all but 2, and when we went to Wendy's I just got a side salad and low fat honey mustard dressing. That dressing was gooooood! Anyway, the salad kept my mouth busy and I decided I would not feel deprived because I couldn't get a juicy burger and it worked.
Both my ndh and I use CPAP machines. I think my first dh Rich had sleep apnea too. He was never sent for a sleep study, in fact, I didn't even know there was any such thing until I met Teddy Bear, my ndh. And I never would have known I had it if T.B. hadn't recognized what was happening to me in my sleep. Went for a sleep study to "humor" him and about fell down in a faint when I found out I have apnea too!
Lynnie, I like your new picture too. How do you upload a pic of yourself to use as an avatar?
