Hey girls!
I don't know if anyone's around today, but I'm working (what else is new?), so I thought I'd start a thread. Things are a little less stressful today. Maybe it's because I know that after today, I have two, maybe three days off. I've very excited at the thought of getting to SLEEP! Yesterday I got up at 5 a.m. to be at the power company at 6, then spent about 7 hours with power crews restoring power. But I didn't get home from work until 8 p.m. or so, I can't even remember. Since Sept. 15, the Monday before the hurricane, I've only had one day off and I've worked 10-14 hour days (one 18-hour day.) I've been wondering how doctors and lawyers work such long hours because I'm completely exhausted!
So anyway, nothing else is new in my life because my life revolves around the hurricane aftermath at the moment. I did go to WW on Thursday and I gained .4. I guess that's because altho I wasn't eating much last week, when I got home and power still wasn't on I ate a lot of crap -- three visits to the only restaurant open near the paper, a Chinese place, pizza, and just crap, crap, crap. I'm trying to be better, but I still haven't had the time to go shopping and replenish the food I lost from my fridge and freezer. I did stop by the store on the way home from work, but being so tired I only got stuff for dinner that night ... sushi, prepared salad, some salad dressing (all ours spoiled), a bag of bagel chips, a bottle of red wine and some WW ice cream cones! Then I went to bed at 10:30 p.m.
OK, I'm sure whoever is reading this is tired of hearing me whine, so I'll say bye for now! Oh, I'm waiting very patiently for the middle of next week, when my period is due, and hoping it doesn't come!
