Default Non Scale Victories

me: do my boobs look smaller?
mom: black does that.
me: no, i mean they REALLY look smaller!
mom: well, you can definitely tell a difference.

*me feeling totally great*

i can't remember if we've done this thread before but i've been thinking about it a lot here lately.

i want everyone (who wants to) to list some non scale victories. (that you have hit and that you want to hit) we talked about this at one of the WW meetings i went to and it was a great meeting.

*have hit*
1) my boobs are finally getting smaller!
2) i fit into a pair of jeans that i haven't been able to wear since before i got pregnant with my daughter, who will be 2 in november.
3) i fit into a pair of shoes i hadn't worn in a long time.
4) my sloppy clothes are getting REALLY sloppy looking!
5) i bought 2X lounge pants instead of 3X today (women's size)
6) my 2X men's lounge pants are too big now. (which is a good thing because they bit the dust today and i had to throw them away)
7) taking jeans off without unbuttoning them (thanks daners! i'd have forgotten about this if you hadn't mentioned it)
8) my newest pair of capris are loose..... after being snug when i bought them a few weeks ago.

*want to hit*
1) lose the baby belly (AGAIN)
2) fit into the jeans i wore 4 years ago
3) fit into my favorite blue shirt without the buttons puckering
4) wear the dress i wore to my high school graduation
5) wear my class ring (size 7) again

more to come.....

Great thread jkfla...I love NSVs!
gotta love those conversations with mom...here's my latest one...
mom: what's going on with your toes?
me: what, you don't like the french manicure paint job?
mom: no really, what's going on, they look skinnier
me: my toes?
mom: oh my gosh...seriously, that's crazy, your toes are getting smaller.
me: okay, yeah, I guess they are, I can see light in between them, hadn't noticed.

Have hit...
*taking off jeans without unbuttoning them (they had been almost too small when I started this)
*can now wear some jeans that I haven't been able to wear since I was a junior in high school--11 years ago
*knocked 10 minutes off my 10km time from last year's race
*can't carry the two kiddos--who's combined weight equals what I've lost--across the room, let alone everywhere I go
*my bathtub is growing...or at least it seems that way to me

Hoping to hit soon...
*pick my sister up from the airport in her old jeans at Christmas--size 16, plain, no w
*wear the size 10 jeans hanging on my wall as art for the time being
*wearing the adorable swimsuit I picked up on clearance next year when we go to visit my sister...size 14, we're going in March

Smaller boobs--you're my hero! I seem to be losing everywhere else, which of course I don't mind, but I really was hoping for some boob reduction, too.

Let's see. Here are some of my NSVs.

1. I bought jeans in February that no longer fit, and the smaller size jeans I bought in August that didn't quite fit now fit great.

2. My wedding ring keeps falling off.

3. Most of my shirts are hanging off me.

4. I've had a couple of people, one related, one not, see me in shorts and tell me how good my legs look.

5. I bought smaller underwear.

6. I don't huff and puff when going up a hill.

What I'm looking forward to:

1. Fitting in my daughter's cast-offs.

2. Going to Chicago in June and buying a really cool size 10 outfit at Marshall Fields.

3. Seeing people I haven't seen in over a year and hearing them gasp. And they dang well better gasp!

4. Looking at a photo of myself and liking what I see.

For so long, no-one really noticed. . .and now when I had so many weeks of wavering, everyone's commenting. I mean EVERYONE. So, it's really a great motivator. Of course, I need to come up with a better answer than, "Well, I don't know how long I'll keep it off." Maybe I'll try a smile and "Thanks!"

Have hit
*Wore a Fall suit on Sunday that I wore 3 years ago. Now I'm back to wearing classy clothes instead of "whatever fits."
*I'm wearing my real wedding ring (with the diamonds) again, instead of the bigger one (just a band) that Dan gave me a year and a half ago since I couldn't wear the real one anymore. Putting that gorgeous band on the right hand.
*I'm feeling better in general and can accomplish more before I get tired.
*It's not so much work getting up from the couch! Come to think of it, I don't spend so much time there anymore!

Want to experience:

*I have a gorgeous scarlet suit that I'm dying to wear. I think it's about 10 pounds or so to fitting.
*Can't wait until the pouches above my elbows are GONE! It's bad enough that this year I was suprised to see my arms have 'fallen' (that waving arm thing).
*My husband's favorite lingerie (for ME to wear - just want to CLARIFY) is still a little bit too small. I'd like for it to fit great.

I hit my non scale victory this week-- I actually WORE OUT my work out shoes. Actually wore holes in the darn things. That's never ever happened to me with tennis shoes before. That's a victory for me!!

Good for you mthergoos! Hey, I've got an idea...contact Nike with your story, might be some free shoes in it for you and you could become a new spokesperson!

Went shopping with Kid this weekend -- Penney's had a sale.
They had a track suit - 30% off. I bought it in 2X, on the theory that it would probably too snug, but it would give me something to wear around Christmas.

Guess what I'm wearing as I type this! I know this means that it's a pretty large 2X, but still, it was really good for my morale.

I would like smaller boobs.

My rib cage has shrunk. When that happens, you go up a cup size. I am now a 42DDD.
