Default 10 Days In The Life Boat #177

Welcome to the latest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.

This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.

I dragged myself back aboard this morning. I need to re-center myself and re-commit to my WW program.
Goals for this leg.

1. Track, track, track every bite!
2. Remind myself daily that loving myself includes taking care of my body.
3. Think about why I am eating something BEFORE I put it in my mouth, SLOW DOWN, and remember to "not put food in my mouth when I already have food in my mouth".

I run in the pool. Chest height water, deep enough to take the weight off my knees and give lots of resistance, but shallow enough to dig my feet in. I use a talley clicker and a ten meter section of the pool so I know how far I've gone. It takes about a minute a lap so to get a mile in it takes 1600 meters or 80 minutes. I do that three days a week. I'm also trying to be very exact with my calorie tracking on my my fitness pal app.

Welcome ladies. Grab an oar. Life vests are beneath the seats and we have a constant suppy of warm fluffy towels if you should fall in.

Hello! I did fall into the water, but was saved ! I had 3 potato chips and broke out in hives. My body rejected them. Hah! So the universe stepped in and stopped me. I have no idea what caused the hives but I had to stop eating them and just drank water, ate a salad and had benedryl for dessert. Go me. Oh, i did get my 20 minutes if walking done.

I really don't want to get up to go to the pool. My Dad used to say that everything works out if you just get up and go to work. This is my job, so I'm going to go and not think about not going.

Hello, new oars-people!

I've been MIA from the thread, but rowing away, at least eating-wise. (I too follow WW, though I'm starting to wonder....)

I need to get back to exercising daily. The start of the school year has been busy and stressful. But Labor Day is past now, so it's time to get serious, organized, and moving.

ugh, why can't I do this! It's just adding one exercise, and not a hard one (it's chair exercises I have done before) - I am eating fine and walking the dog 2x a day, so why the heck can't I manage this! I am far from POP obviously and in the water and I think I may just tread here sulking until I figure out what the problem is....... maybe I don't think I can actually really lose weight and so why do more than the bare minimum ?, I have no idea....... hopefully I will be back in the boat soon

Lost, can you schedule some time early in the day when you could work your exercise in? If not early in the day, can you at least plan/schedule when you'll do your exercise?

Course, I'm one to talk: didn't get exercise in on Thursday. But still on track with eating. So here's to rowing harder and getting my exercise in tomorrow!
