Default Hello fellow featherweights!

I cannot believe I could be called a featherweight!

V quick story. Started 110 kg in 2010. Now 67kg, 53 year old woman, 5'7" have maintained under 70 for over a year now.

But...there is always a but!....BUT I fly to the UK on 22nd June, and I want to be 60 kg!

I am a trail runner now, from not being able to run 50 yards to the corner in 2012...even full of adrenaline and terrified (that was when I decided to start running) and tomorrow I am doing a 17 km mountain trail race.

So hello folks, I expect I shall be here for the next few weeks, trying to lose these last few kilos

Welcome, AD! I love your quote. According to that, I'm a runner, too!

Btw, what is 60 kg in pounds?

Hi hungerW, and thank you for the welcome. I am sorry about the delay in getting back to you, we were away running a trail race. Hubby did the 26.2 mile in 5 and 1/2 hours which is pretty good going considering the mountain in the middle to say nothing of the poor conditions underfoot....rocks, scree, running along river beds, river crossings...etc etc. I did about 2:50 for the half, about half way up the field, and a time I am pleased with.

60kg is about 132 pounds give or take. And a better weight for running.

I am glad you are a runner too. It's fun, and it helps....but boy do you get hungry! I ate so much yesterday!

That sounds like a most interesting run! And I can totally relate to the hunger. I'm having to strategize this morning, as I'm back to 1200 calories a day, except on Sundays (3600 ). I'm going to space out my food by trying to wait at least an hour between eating snacks or meals. The push to eat is so strong, I'm gonna lay down the law!
