I personally have been struggeling with my weight all my life, even as a teenager I was always a little on the chubby side. But as an adult things changed for worse as I gained even more pounds particularly after my first pregnancy.

However lately I have lost nearly 48 lbs. This was possible, because I educated myself.

Those are the ressources I used:

1. This forum, just read it regularly and you will succeed.

2. WebMD, good for basic knowledge. I didn't even know about calories back then. Link to WebMD

The most important things I learned during my journey were to form my on oppinion and to test different things. I tried like 3 to 5 different diet programs before I found one that actually worked for me.

Good luck with your personal journey

I agree that Whole30 is a wonderful plan - I am doing it myself now. BUT please note that Whole30 is NOT a diet (weight loss) plan. It's purpose is completely different (to re-adjust your eating habits and determine if you have sensitivities to certain food groups). While many people lose weight on Whole30 that is due in part to the nature of the food you are eating (ie. no sugar or sweeteners of any kind), that is not the focus of the program.

They do have many wonderful support groups online and on Facebook. But participants are forbidden to talk about weightloss as it goes against the rules of the program.

All that being said, Whole30 is a great program to teach you how to eat properly and healthfully and is a great way to kick start a new way of eating.
