Unhappy I just don't have the energy...........

I just don't have the energy! It not for any reason other than I'm just not healthy. Maybe it's not energy that I lack but rather motivation and determination. But I'm just a newbie so i'm sure it'll get better.

There's some good advice and support here. Welcome to the forum!

Maybe start with something that doesn't take much energy, like limiting portions or cutting down on sodas or something. No need to do everything all at once.

Energy to do what? In a physical sense or a psychological sense?

I find that exercise gives me energy, helps me calm my stress and boosts my mood. You don't have to run a marathon, even a 20minute walk will do the trick.

Sometimes I have a hard time fitting in a proper healthy meal in my schedule, I'm crazy busy. Most days I start my day with a green smoothie. It gives me energy and nutrients and it's really quick and easy and makes me feel like I've done something good for myself. I drink a lot of spinach lol.

I agree, do small changes at first. Once those become habit, you can tackle more

When I first started eating healthily, I had to force myself to eat things I didn't enjoy- bell peppers, beans, large amounts of spinach. Eventually it became habit, and now if I go a day without eating veggies, I can feel the difference.
Same with exercise, I had to really force myself to go to the gym. Now, I can find enjoyment in exercising (except for running on the treadmill- that will never be nearly as fun as running on trails).

Not sure what your coffee intake is like, but it might be good to cut it out of your diet if you're an everyday drinker. Coffee should be a once in a while thing, I think

Very solid advice.

Start of light and then progess from there!

Hi there, welcome!

I lack energy too so I'm focusing on my diet and caloric intake rather than exercise. I do try to jog or walk but if I'm too tired, I don't stress. I, too, think my health/weight is why I'm tired; I expect that after I get some fat off, I'll feel a bit better.

Energy is a real problem for me too. I started off with a goal of sleeping at least 9 hours a night, to give me the energy to work on other goals.

Winter is the worst time to find energy. The thing with energy though is that it's contagious, which is a good thing.

Do something, anything, to get the blood moving. Maybe sweep the floor or do some dishes. You might find after doing some little things like that you have the energy to do more.

I exercise (fencing) 3 days a week and hate, HATE dragging myself out of the house in the cold dark evening to go, but I have NEVER regretted it once I was there and feel great on the way home

depending on where you live. Winter, can be tough.

Pick on ONE thing you can do, and build on small victories!
