Red face Sore throat-help with IP options Phase 1

Hi, first time posting as I just started IP on 10/28/15 and have lost 17.4 lbs (yay!!) I've been sick the past few days with a terrible sore throat and cold. Before IP, I would make a big pot of matzoh ball soup and drink lots of tea with honey but that's not an option for eating on Phase 1. Eating raw vegetables feels terrible on my throat and I don't feel well enough to do extensive cooking so things like "bone broth" are out for now.

Does anyone have any suggestions for IP friendly foods/drinks that would help? Thanks, I really appreciate it!!

Default Great suggestions, thanks!

Thanks for the great suggestions and quick reply! I tried to make Popsicles out of the Mangosteen Enhancer mixed with water, but the Halls drops sound much better!

I'm not sure if this will work for you. I buy this local or it can be ordered. There are different sizes, too. Feel better soon: http://www.vitacost.com/pacific-natu...FdgcgQodkOkFZw

Dilute your IP salt allotment in warm water and gargle with it before swallowing. Salt really soothes a sore throat. The rest of the day gargle with salt regularly but spit it out (so you don't go over your allotment for the day!) Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Diana3271, I just checked and my local Whole Foods carries it in 4 flavors. My husband is on his way to pick it up.
Thanks Tuscany123, I'll try the salt now while I'm waiting for the bone broth to arrive!

Cook your 2 cups of broccoli or cauliflower until really super soft and add to the chicken soup
