Default I am a newbie and have a long way to go!!

I am 21 and from the UK. I currently weigh in at 132.6 kg!! I am at my heaviest right now and it is really getting me down. Realistically I need to lose 150-160 pounds overall (woooow) but for now I would be very happy to be losing 80 pounds in a year then 80 in the next year.

Who else has a **** of a lot of weight to lose? Any tips?
I KNOW i can do this because, I have lost weight before, in the last 3 years I have put on 4 stone, I am angry at myself for letting myself go.
I want to look and feel great for myself but for my partner too.

I look forward to heaing from people

Hi!!!

I'm in Ireland and I have about 120lbs to lose. Currently over 17 st. It's hard when you have so much to lose, it's harder to stay committed.

What plan are you following or what are you doing to shift those pounds?

Welcome Jamieh! You can do this and you certainly are not alone. Check out the over 100 pds to lose groups. They really helped me. I also gave myself 2 years to lose 170 pds. From 299 to 129. ( 3 pds below healthy BMI). I've lost 108 of that since 9/9/14 so you never know the time table on how long it will take.I'm 64 and was in a wheelchair when I started, if I can, then a baby of 21 can. How blessed all you younguns are to have so much support and information at your fingertips 24/7!

I have 144 pounds to lose. My tip: Don't try to be perfect. If you make a mistake, don't beat yourself up over it. Just dust yourself off and keep going. We can all do this. We just need to give ourselves a chance to do it.

My total to lose is 115 pounds. That number was overwhelming at first, so I focused on just the first 10 pounds. Now, I'm down 25 pounds in 6 months - it's slow, but I don't care! The key is finding an eating plan and exercise program that work for YOU and that you can keep doing for the long haul.

Set small, realistic goals for yourself each week and each month about pound loss, food selection, and exercise quantity and type.
