Default Ready to restart!

Hello IP fellows!

It's great to be back here with all of you fabulous folks on a mission. I lost 37 pounds on IP in 2013 and kept it off for 17 months. In the last six months, I have managed to gain about 16 pounds back and I feel like I'm spiraling out of control pretty quickly, eating (and drinking!) anything and everything in sight. Stress of work has definitely been an issue but that cannot be an excuse.

I'm ready to get started on Wednesday and am going in to purchase my IP foods to do this on my own at home.

I can use all the support that I can get. If you experienced anything similar, I'd love to hear about your journey.

Cheers!

Hi taniaeve!
I am right there with you! I was super successful on IP and then I became overconfident and thought, "I got this! I can eat anything now that I have lost weight!" I might also add, the stress of life does not TASTE good! Time to put myself back on my list!

To deal with this setback, you both have to remember.... A comeback is not a go back!!!

Gotta let the carbs and sugar take up only a small proportion of your maintenance menu, keep moving, and commit to staying within reason each and every day.

Welcome back to 3FC and best of luck with your re-boot!!

Hi taniaeve,
Same here, did IP successfully 2 years ago, one divorce later and all the weight (ok, all the food) came back. So 2 weeks ago, I got my confidence back and went to my coach. I've lost 9 lbs in 2 weeks!! Best of all, I feel in control and ready to get my life back! Let's do this!

Love the motivation and so glad I'm not alone on this restart. I have all my IP food ready to go and cut out alcohol as of yesterday. Today and tomorrow I'm going low carb to hopefully make Wednesday easier.

There are a whole bunch of folks who are either new"er" to IP or are restarters in the Winter/Spring starter thread. Join them there for extra motivation!

Hi - I'm right there with you, tani. I've lost that same amount - twice! I got back on plan (but didn't eliminate the vodka and soda completely) 4 weeks ago. I only lost 4 lbs. I'm sure the vodka didn't help and stopped that totally a week ago. I have trouble at social events - people really want me to join in. But I'm back to 3fc and hope to lose a little faster.

I started a reboot 4 weeks ago and am down 8lbs. Only a couple of more weeks to go. I too (re)started on a Wednesday. You can do it!

Welcome back. I'm not a returner, but I am a recent holiday regainer who is moving on to better habits once more.

You can do it!
