Default Back after regaining

So I am back.

Looking at my start date if I had stayed the course I would have been thin by now. However some here said weightloss is 90% a process that takes place between the ears, and I had some malfunctioning.

My weight went up to 365 and am currently 346 through diet and exercise.

What derailed me last time was I had an anxiety disorder I was self medicating with food. So after becoming a fully qualified chartered accountant I went and got therapy. 6 months of that I have got a handle on it.

So I stress eat less than once a month and keep well within my calorie count most days.

I have been lurking and feeling like I couldn't post as I didn't want to own up to not losing the weight I wanted. So I have outed myself

At least you didn't give up and got back on the wagon.

Give it another chance.

I'm also back after a large weight gain, and a lot of years passing by. I do plan to visit more often, just for some support and I realize, I would rather be healthy! So I can enjoy my wonderful life, and be, much more active with my 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Sam, I think that most, if not all of us are in the same boat. We won't judge you. Gaining/Losing weight is a natural process. Don't stress out about it. You've taken the hardest step, starting again and admitting to yourself that you have a problem. The good news is that if you've lost weight before, you can do it again. Best wishes.

Welcome back, Samantha. I hope you post often. We are all in this together. I gained back 60lbs in 6 months being so stressed out with medical issues and personal losses in my life. Food and drink became my medication as I was too afraid to use medical help.

I started at almost 350lbs, got down to the 170s, thrived in the 185-195 range for some reason. Got stuck in the 240s for a while after my regain and thought I'd go back to the 300s not really caring. Then something woke me up and realized that food isn't helping any of my issues.

You inspire me that you went for help and are doing so good. Keep up the good work. Plenty of people are lurking here and I'm sure your post here and future ones are helping so many people.

Good luck.

Hey Sam,

I definitely know where you're coming from. I try not to think of the "what if's", and just promise myself I'll do better this time. I also gained back a lot of my lost weight and I'm in the same weight range as you so I know it's hard. I like to think that getting the motivation to start over again is the hard part, so hey! You did it! Welcome back, and I look forward to seeing you succeed!

Welcome Back Samantha!

Dieting is a process. I lost thirty pounds, on Nutrisystem, kept it off for a while, then regained it in about two weeks eating the wrong things at home that I had no idea were the wrong things. I had to climb on the wagon again and start over, so I know how that feels. I hope to be seeing more posts from you and to be cheering you on to VICTORY!
