Lisa, I hope that things settle down out there for you guys soon! You have been on my mind since I heard that they had a decision. I used to live in St. Louis for a little while (Ballwin). (just a random "fact of the day" for you. LOL)

As far as IP goes, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I have the supplies I need for the "gravy" (mushroom puree) and faux sweet potato pie and will be preparing them later this morning. I have my cauliflower and broccoli in the fridge. I foresee no issues with staying pretty much on plan tomorrow (I say pretty much only because I may go over on veggies...to me that is close enough.)

I hope everyone has a great day!

OMG, my office does nothing but eat for every occasion. Came in this morning and they have all kinds of bagels and cream cheese. Go to another floor for something and they have boxes of Kolaches. Happy to say I walked away from all of it and I'm enjoying my Pure Protein RTD chocolate shake.

Figured out one reason my loss was only .8 lbs yesterday. Haven't had a BM in several days, unusual for me. Will resolve that tonight with Smooth Move Tea or Miralax.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, be safe and blessed this weekend!!

Good morning! I don't start work until this afternoon, so I am just enjoying a nice quiet morning with my dogs. I work until 7:30 tonight, so will likely need to have my snack at work and then just late dinner when I get home.

Have a great day, everyone!

Had my WI yesterday after 2 weeks on P2 and I lost another 2 lbs! I am now below my goal weight and extremely happy where I am at. I know I may gain a couple of pounds in P3 but I will deal with that as it comes. Moved to P3 this morning and can't believe all the food I had to eat for breakfast! My stomach is not too happy right now.

Have a great day everyone!

Gearing up for turkey day! Bought my rutabaga for Sweet Fauxtato pie, cauliflower for rice and radishes for roasting We're doing double duty tomorrow - early dinner at my dad's, then 2nd dinner and dessert at my MIL's. Both houses know all about my diet so they will have some veggies for me aside from what I bring myself.

I got myself a little early Christmas present too...a friend of mine is a Beachbody coach and they had a big sale on the exercise videos - I ordered the Les Mills Body Pump program so I can work on some muscle toning while I'm finishing up my reboot. So excited!

Just curious ... What are the downfalls if we did go over on veggies? I mean I typically measure my veggies prior to cooking as directed BUT when I buy those steamer bags I end up measuring after cooking and with cooking you know veggies get smaller so I feel like collectively I probably do eat over 4 cups a day.

Good Morning Everyone...

Drove DS to hockey practice this am at 4:30, text came @ 5:15am that schools are closed for the snow storm that's coming....picked DS up from practice at 7:30 it was freezing rain, now we have at least 2 inches of snow on the ground....turkey Is being pre- cooked in oven, 2 kinds of stuffing are none, sweet potatoes are prepped and ready to toss into the crockpot tomorrow morning.... 2 desserts are made all that is left to do is the gravy once the turkey comes out. Yes I have been busy lol....oh I also chopped up a large cauliflower to roast tomorrow. I am armed and ready!

Still riding hi from my whoosh yesterday...was not even tempted to taste anything I made...DS was the happy taste tester lol.

Dieting is a game of balance....so will it be devastating if you go over on veggies? Not necessarily, unless you are super carb sensitive or overdoing it on the restricted veggies. Go too far over, and you might bump up your calorie intake high enough that it closes the gap between what you are eating and what your body needs (and as a result, might slow losses a bit). Overall, the veggies on the list are pretty low cal and low carb, so going over periodically probably won't do much to you.

The flip side of that is, if you aren't measuring pretty religiously in Phase 1, you aren't learning the skills that will help you with portion control in Maintenance. It seems kind of trivial now, but if you aren't used to measuring accurately in P1, it's going to be that much harder for you on the other side of weight loss. And realistically, we don't become naturally thin just because we've lost the weight....food management/portion control has to be a permanent way of life for us.

Long story short...will it hurt your losses, probably not. But not measuring keeps you from learning good maintenance skills, at a time when mistakes are not as costly calorie-wise.

Congrats!! Took my tummy awhile to get used to the breakfasts too, still getting used to it I think as I have had wicked heart burn hit around 10 am every day. You may see the scale move down in P3 too, different for everyone. Enjoy!!

Hey IPeeps,

Congrat's for all the losses and victories!! And it's great to read of all the Thanksgiving preps and how easy it is to be OP for the holiday. I had barely started IP when we had our Thanksgiving, and it was easier than I thought. You can all do it!!

Happy OP Thanksgiving to those celebrating tomorrow

Hi everyone -

Hope you all have a great day! Day 3 and I am doing well – so excited about the program! I have ordered from Nashua and they have been just awesome, so really happy about that!

All set for tomorrow – nothing exciting – but it is also my DH’s 60th bday, so happy day all around. He has some disability issues, but we will have a good day and be very thankful to be together (also have a DD13).

Now I am waiting patiently to receive word to leave early from work – we are already closing at 3PM, but rumor is, it may be earlier! Then again it will take me a few hrs to get home!

Have a terrific day and keep up the great work everyone!

Happy Turkey Eve Everyone!!

So, I just started IP this week (11/24) and as such I've not had an opportunity to try all of the different products. However, I wanted to ask about the pancakes. I didn't get any pancakes or oatmeal my first week because those are foods that I'm not sure I can "IP" (afraid texture will be way off). I know it comes down to one's own personal tastes but I wanted to get a feel for what you guys think of the pancakes. Are they worth spending $30 for a box of them? Money is tight so trying to spend wisely as well as "tastily" (haha)
