Creeping towards goal, unsolicited advice from a long term Medifaster
So here I am week 73 of Medifast and about 7 lbs from goal. For those of you just starting, keep with it. For most of you, it will not take you as long to lose weight as it has for me. I have seen many people on Medifast lose 100lbs in 8 or 9 months. However, everyone is different and you can't compare yourself to others, the important thing is to stay on plan and if you do "fall of the Medifast wagon" get right back on it, don't allow yourself to continue on that path thinking "well I blew it, so I might as well eat what I want". The Medifast forums were a tremendous support system, unfortunately Medifast has changed the entire website and it is not as active. However, you should read the forums, as there is lot's of advice and inspiration. Sandyskitchenadventures.com will give you terrific ideas for your L & G, you won't believe what you can do with cauliflower ! If you are on Facebook, there is a great group called "Sisters in Success" for anyone that is trying to get healthy, great group of ladies and highly entertaining ! Request to be added. It's also a private group, so no one but group members can see your posts. I have been some form of obese my entire life and I was seriously considering gastric bypass, Medifast was my last hope. I cannot tell you how it has changed my life. I am anxious to be at goal and even more anxious to start transition, but I will do this and so will you, don't give up !!
