Default TGIF!!! It's Friday, November 7

Good morning and it's Friday again! and who knows where the time goes? I hear some of the old folks around here moaning "The days are so long!" and I bite my lip to keep from yelling at them.

The Mill Exec meets here this morning and I absolutely MUST Dyson the carpet. There was a 3-dog playdate yesterday late afternoon and the three crazies had a ball. Luckily none of them are shedders but there are a few leaf bits and pine needles that they tracked in from outside.

Anyone want to come for dinner? When I was rooting around in the freezer last night (a very crowded place!), I took out a beef blade roast AND FORGOT TO PUT IT BACK when I found what I wanted. It was almost completely thawed when I discovered it this morning so I guess I'm doing a big pot roast today.

What's on your pre-weekend agenda? Some fun in there, I hope.

Mmmmmmm, I'd put that thing in the crock pot Ruth! I meant to make something like that this week, but the meat was too expensive!

TGIF. What a week! Unfortunately, tomorrow is one of the few Saturdays I have to work in the next couple of months. That gives me rights to napping . Today is no excitement except my schedule is already full (where did my emergency slots go?....), so hopefully I will get a lunch. I did go to a rheumatologist yesterday, and he's hoping I'm having some viral thing, but is moving me on to the next step in a couple of weeks. (ummm, it better self resolve by then!) Eating hasn't been great, but I'll worry about that later. Doesn't help though that DS is suddenly into making bread....

Morning, ladies!

Ruth, I would make a batch of stew and re-freeze in small portions for later. But I could come over for dinner...

Tammy, be sure to get that nap in- sounds like you need it.

Today is just another Friday at work- they are ALL busy. Report cards are due so I have that extra chore waiting for me.

Tonight I am going to drag DH to the area's biggest Holiday Food, Wine and Craft fair. I'll pretend I am shopping for gifts but I know many of them will end up being for me.

Have a good day, chicks!

TGIF! It's great to have a break from the constant jammering of the air compressors, sawing, and drilling! Whew!

Ruth, whoops for forgetting to put the meat back, but it sounds like you'll have yourself a yummy meal. (Monica and I still get the giggles when we think of that picture above your kitchen table. )

Tammy, I have my fingers crossed that the rheumatologist will have some answers for you and that you'll be recovering soon. I hope the homemade bread is at least a whole grain one!

The drive up to Rheinholds went well yesterday, and when I got back to the farm, the fancy, smancy new range was all installed, so I read the manual on how it works, and popped some ribs in the oven to slow cook for their supper.

This morning, Jake and Dad are taking me out for breakfast, and I'm doing Cindy a big favor this afternoon by picking up the girls at school and dropping them off at the riding clinic, and then I can come home again. I'm not sure what the rest of the day will bring, but I'm giving myself the day off for cooking!

Linda glad it went well yesterday

Beth good luck with the report cards

Tammy hope you get some much needed answers. A few years ago I began to get dizzy and nauseous on the train. I felt like I was underwater. I kept dismissing it. My hearing was way off. So I went to the dr thinking I had an ear infection. It was a virus a form of the virus that gives us chicken pox, shingles etc. It was brought on by stress (I was going through a nasty divorce). I was shocked when he prescribed Valtrex (it is used to treat herpes). Cleared up in three days. Felt like my old stressed self again

Ruth I like Beth's idea for the roast. Just think yummy stew on a cold winter's day mmmmmm

Crockpots made creamy Mexican casserole (I don't even need the recipe anymore lol) and beef fajitas. Tomorrow I will make a huge batch of chili. I have some soup (my favorite roasted smoked paprika, chick pea and red lentil) in the freezer for lunches. Next week I will need to make some souls to freeze. Does anyone have a vegetable soup recipe?

This morning is for me The afternoon picking up DS's GF then driving to DS. Hope she can talk some sense into him. He still wants to drop out. My son's bigger obstacle in school is himself. He is very lazy and walks away from things when they become challenging. sigh more stress lol

At least I had will power not to buy any trigger foods. If I mindlessly snack it will be on raw veggies lol

Happy Friday all

TGIF!!!

WFH today and have lots of reports to take care of. Nothing on the agenda not sure what we will do if anything this evening.

Ruth I agree Beth's idea sounds great

Tywnn Hope everything gets figured out soon for you

Beth enjoy your day and hope report cards go quickly for you.

Cottage that was nice of you to help Cyndi out today, enjoy your day

Jekel perhaps telling him what awaits if he doesn't stay in school will help wake him. Work full time and pay all of his bills on his own then maybe school will not look so bad.

Have a great day everyone!
