I'm up! Not by much though, coffee just finished and I'm sipping my first cup. And so starts another day!

I'm up too. It was hard! I think it's raining outside but I haven't pressed my face up against the window to find out...I'm sore from exercising yesterday, but that's a good thing, as Martha would say. Getting back on it.

Today is just work, and then I have my EfM class tonight. Hope everyone has a great day!

First cup here too. Slept until 6 after wakening at three and then falling back into a nightmare. Sure was glad to wake up!

Good news yesterday as only the west side of my roof needs replacement. The rug removal mess won't happen until the new year. Paul suggests I move out while it happens1 I just may as I have a free week and car rental at Summer Bay near Orlando. Anybody want to join me?

Off for the dreaded 'flu shot at 8:30 followed by banking and then I'm hoping to do some outside work. It's impossible to rake wet leaves but a sunny day may dry them up by then. I also need to horse my snow tires into the trunk for tomorrow's installation. Yes, it's time to get ready for the white stuff!

I think the dogs know winter is coming as they are being particularly sucky and cuddly these days.

Have a happy Hump Day!

I think it's raining here, too, but I haven't looked outside yet. I hope not, as it's hard enough to keep the house tidy, what with the construction crew mess. I don't relish trying to keep up with muddy paws, too. The kitchen is starting to take shape, though, and it's looking great. The new range is supposed to arrive today.

Ruth, a week in Orlando in the dead of winter sure does sound tempting, and I think it's a great idea to be out of your house while the flooring is replaced. Good luck with your flu shot. I got mine several weeks ago and it was a breeze.

I'd better go scrounge up some breakfast and pack something for lunch. I think I'm all out of salad makings.

Good morning.

I'm heading back to work today for the first time in weeks, with all my recent traveling. Too bad for them that I'm coughing and blowing my nose My mom made me chicken soup; I'll either pick it up this morning or after work, since she lives near there. Tonight I'll be watching baseball!

Have a great day.

Good morning I've been up for awhile but catching up with the world and waking up, so second cup of coffee
Apparently DD isn't going to make it to her due date. Her OB was surprised yesterday and we all expect an early delivery.
Other than that, is there anything other than that We have an official election date at work so I know when things will get extra crazy unless I am in Boston being a grandma. Hoping those two things can co-exist but I know where I will be if I need to make a choice.

I am ignoring the weekend forecast. In the meantime I made chicken soup yesterday and I'm looking at my pantry and trying to figure out if I can squeeze another bushel of squash in there. Once you have space it's hard to resist the urge to fill it.

Onward to Hump Day

Good morning,

Quick flyby for me, trying to get a few things taking care of in between meetings.

I have to pick up school fundraiser tonight- 20 boxes of cookie dough.

Yesterday I fell into some chinese food after 16 days on track. Today back on track, I like the scale moving down instead of up.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Have a great day!

Evening. I didn't have any time to check in this morning; that going to work thing can get in the way of morning check-ins. I am finally sitting down for a bit and am (almost) contemplating a glass of wine. Getting through hump day deserves a little celebration, no?

I've been enjoying the pumpkin cheesy things again this week. DH thought they were a bit bland so I added some pumpkin pie spice and the results are super yummy.

Sounds like lots of busy chicks today. Have a good evening!

Beth, what "pumpkin cheesy thing" are you talking about? Point me in the right direction!

I'm still waiting for my DD to share her recipe for the spicy kale and tofu dish. I'll post it as soon as I get it.

Cottage, these:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/dess...sy-things.html

They are essentially a variation of our beloved breakfast protein cheesecakes and just as versatile: breakfast, snack or dessert.
