Well, I got through Wacky Wednesday relatively unscathed. Figured out how to get my bookmarks back which was major! Still having accounting problems though.
Paul and his merry men were up on the roof when I got back from pet therapy. Apparently the snow really screwed up things on the roof and they have to replace a steel panel. Paul is coming back this morning to use his wet vac to get the water out of the attic. Access is through the studio ceiling which will put that room out of commission for a while.
Whoops! Reminder just popped up re trash day. See you later - I need to throw on a coat and lug stuff to the road.
Good morning Ruth! Wow, what a pain with your roof. I hope they have no problems fixing it all.
I had fun with DD getting her nails done yesterday. They sure look great! The lady even added a cute design to her big toes .
Today is a lonnnng day of work, although 1-3 pm I'll be with DD for her "race for education". Tonight we'll finish (ummmm...start) packing for our whirlwind trip to NC this weekend for "the" wedding. We're leaving at 6 am, so I probably won't be checking in.
I've been doing pretty well with no grains this week, so I don't feel so nasty for the wedding! It's interesting how it's second nature to be able to drop them from my diet so easily.
I hope you get your roof all fixed up, Ruth, without any more problems. That's all on the new addition, right?
I have to make a stop at the garden center for more veggie seedlings on my way to the farm this morning, and hope to get them planted this morning. Rain is threatening right now, though, although it's not happening yet. I want to finish organizing both girls closets today, too, and seeing what they need for the summer.
Today's my Friday, and I'm looking forward to a relaxing Mother's Day weekend!
Tammy have a wonderful time at the wedding. If you are able, or want to, please share a pic of DD all dressed up. Her nails sound adorable. Have fun at the race today and safe travels.
Ruth glad the computer seems better, but sorry about your roof. Mine was replaced over 10 years ago. We had a major leak for years unbeknown to us at the time. Fortunately it dripped into a huge lobster pot I had in the attic
Linda I wish we were ready to plant. Actually scratch that, the garden at Joe's is a disaster right now lol. I have no time to tend to it and neither does he. I think we will really scale back this year and try to rescue what survived the winter.
Today I nervously anticipate tomorrow. Please weather be kind!!!! Pack, organize and a few errands are on the agenda. Going to dinner tonight with DS. It will not be OP as I need to carbo load lol.
Time to light a fire under DS to get him off to school. Graduation can't get here soon enough lol.
Good morning! Our weatherman has been threatening us all week with Horrible Hot and Humid Weather today, perhaps going as high as 90. But so far it's fine, and a check this morning says the temperature should top at 84 and not be so humid (I don't know why I bother to check; it's like going to a soosthsayer).
I wish everyone a good day, computers, weddings and gardens and all
Ruth glad you got some of your computer issues fixed and hope they fix your roof quickly
Twynn have fun at the wedding
Cottage I am slowly getting things accomplished around the house, I don't think it will completely done by the time everyone arrives tomorrow but since there are so many they are staying at a nearby hotel so that way I can just shut some bedroom doors when everyone is here.
Jekel I wish you great weather for your ride, have a great time
Xan the weather and the pollen is being crazy here
This morning I need to finish up my homework for class and get my exercise in. I really wanted to take this exam tomorrow afternoon to get it done but with everyone coming, I can see them walking in while I am in the middle of the exam so I scheduled it for next Tuesday the next earliest date. I could have scheduled on Mother's day (I can't believe there were some proctors available) but didn't feel like doing it on that day.
Good morning We are back from our morning bird walk and just finished our painter's breakfast. Guess what fun we have on tap today?! Yup, I'm spending my post session downtime painting. Do I know how to have fun or what Yesterday was cleaning and priming the front of the house. Today we pain and, hopefully, the easy side too. It helps to live in a small, one story house. Tomorrow I have a long staff meeting so I want to get as much done as we can today.
Can't remember if I mentioned it but I've started buying boneless, skinless chicken and throwing it in the food processor to make my own sausage. We like it much better than premade and I can control the fat content better. It's a win-win.
Okay, the sun is finally through and it's time to get painting.
I got to sleep in this morning but after coffee I got right on my chores so I'd be sure to get in and say hello! We're heading to the pool in 10 min. It rained last night but the sun is coming out. I'll drop mom at the hot pool, Kirk is headed to water aerobics and I've packed up my fins and snorkel for some deepwater swimming.
Have a great day everyone!
Ruth, so sorry about your roof woes! At least you have great guys who are already on it.
Xan, welcome back! So great to see you and I'm glad to hear you've cut down on some of your responsibilities and have more time to care for yourself.
I am heading out for an early "lunch" to get more snacks for the drawer at work and Crystal light but wanted you all to know I am kicking! D5P1!!!! It's getting easier as I am tapering back down off the prednisone.
Evening, chicks! Another busy day but when the sun is shining and it is 70* with daffodils blooming it is hard to complain!!
Another busy day at work (aren't they all??), laundry and a workout afterwards and now I'm just taking a breather before making supper. I'm going with the chick parm recipe I made up: use grated Parmesan cheese and ground almonds in place of bread crumbs and bake. I have some mushrooms to use up as well so there will be lots in the sauce.
Tammy, have a great time at the wedding.
Ruth, glad your roof is fixed since there might be some rain coming.
Jennifer, have a great ride!!
to everyone else. Hope your Thursday is full of happy clucks!
Debbie, thank you very much for the warm rewelcome. Yes, my reduced workload should help. At least, I won't have thast excuse! I also wanted to congratulation you -- I read the forum from time to time, but I'd missed that you'd crashed through and hit your goal!!!!! That is so terrific.
