Wakey, wakey! It's Friday and a glorious day here in the wilderness of Ontario. It's a bit chilly 50ºF but a good morning for doing stuff.

And Pooky is in Ohio! That was a nice surprise. I am sure she is having a ball. She'll be back tomorrow to give us a full report.

I sure as heck hope L144S and MamaJ get in here today and give us the real scoop on their SH men! Mine is semi-SH today as he has now managed to pull two towel racks off the wall in my newly done bathroom! He insisted I use adhesive rather than screws to mount them. Oy! So I am back to plastering, sanding and painting again. Unfortunately the plaster got pulled off and I have no other choice but to patch again before putting up new rails WITH screws and plugs! Sheesh!

Lucy and I are off to Obedience School this morning. It's for me as much as for her. I may be doing some assisting at the school in the Fall and need to participate in a few more classes. I really doubt that I'll do it as winter driving is not my fave sport. (Need you ask what IS my favourite sport? ) Lucy needs this class too. She is too darn full of enthusiasm! Last time Lurker Lorraine was here, Lucy insisted on kissing her on the back of the neck. LL is NOT into inter-species dating!

Gotta saddle up and do a few things before I leave for Kingston. I hope everyone has a great day and is planning a super weekend.

Ok Ruth I will give it to you ...

We are going to North Carolina for my FIL 3 day Member guest golf thing. It happens between the first and second week in Aug. So i have company starting the 12th. I have 12 people in and out for a week. I told SH I wanted to be home Sunday so i could have 2 days to unpack, shop and get the kids moved out of their rooms and the beds made, general stuff to be ready....anyway he booked the tickets to get home about 10pm on Monday! AHH compapany Tuesday? His rationalization was he saved $40 (that is $10 per ticket to come home on Monday and after all if he could save the $ why not get in an extra round! Meanwhile he gets to play golf...I have the kids and his Grandmother and his mother, and NC in August is so bloody hot I am tempted to blow off my ticket....make him loose the whole price, (save money and not listen to me? See how that works!) My blood is boiling! I am so mad that he has not given me anytime to get ready for my family to come and visit....
BTW he still has not unpacked from Alaska and he is telling me not to worry about it it won't be that big a deal i can go to the market in the morning before they come......

OK drivig day from heck today...I have to take the kids to camp, pick up little man and his friend at noon to go to a birthday party. Back to school for 3 for older boy and then again at 5 to get little man. SH of course is playing golf today

L- so for $40 he gets another round of golf, and saved a few bucks, but gained a very irritated and pissed off wife. Doesnt sound like a very good deal to me. Doesnt he realize "when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!?!?!?" Good Luck to you L! (I'd twist more than his putter!)

We have the Italian festival going on, just down the street from our store. We were hoping it would bring in alot of ppl but so far everyone is just walking by. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow it will be alot busier.

Tomorrow we are suppose to have a big block party, so I better get busy making at least one side dish that is atkins friendly. I dont want to blow it on one silly day. I promised Id make butter tarts too. Good think its nice and cool today. Perfect for baking.

Thats about all thats happening in my small corner of the world.

L - you have every right to be po'd but hanging onto all that anger and frustration can't be good for you. Just let it go, girl. Don't worry so much about having your home perfect for your guests. Hey, they are family and have to love you even if your place is a mess.

Not much happening here. We're in a heat wave which means I hole up in a darkened house. I did get to the pool this morning which was lovely and I got in a good one hour workout. Totally ruined my efforts later by enjoying two slices of banana loaf. I am my own worst enemy.
