Default From CNN.com "'Biggest Loser' is at 'perfect weight' "

This morning I looked at CNN.com to see if anything important happened while I slept. This "top story" got my attention "'Biggest Loser' is at 'perfect weight.'"

Of course, I am very aware that there was controversy on the low weight of the last winner of the Biggest Loser. Also, I think that anyone appearing on that show should know that people are watching them.

But........I am so grateful that my weight is not a top story on any news site. What a nightmare! It is bad enough knowing that people in my small world are watching me.

I can't imagine being under such scrutiny. I hope that what she's said in that article is true, because if so, it sounds like she's in a good place - especially after gaining back a little weight and feeling like it is where she's supposed to be. Too many people from that show have developed eating disorders and other issues from the stress of that show.

She probably gained 7 pounds after she rehydrated herself.

I just hope she doesn't go off the deep end and regain, I agree the scrutiny and constant attention to her body would be awfully hard to live with.

I think it's huge that she's come out and admitted that she gained, and that perhaps that "ultra low" wasn't good for her.

I will not watch TBL. It isn't good for the contestants, the morale of any viewer trying to lose weight or the preconceived notions of any person that has never had to lose weight.

My aunt actually asked me once why it took me so long to lose what I have. She actually said, and not jokingly either "They do it really fast on the biggest loser, what's slowing you down?"

Um... not dedicating every second of my life to exercise and about 1900 other unhealthy behaviors.

At this point though, the contestants know what they're in for.

She did a great job at winning that contest. I have problems with BL, unlrealistic diet and exercise regimes, and the word "perfect."

I met Marie Pearl at the Austin Biggest Loser Run/Walk 5K last Sunday. She was very nice. I asked her about Rachel and said I bet it was to make sure she won the 250K. She said that was exactly it and she was doing well now.

I liken in to baseball. Did any minor leaguer or major leaguer ever 'want to' use steroids? No. Not really. But minor leaguers make sometimes 20, 30K a year. They could make millions in the big leagues and set up themselves and their families for life. They were doing what they could to make that happen.

Did she want to drop as far as she did? I do not think so. But she sure wanted to make sure she won that money. I totally understand it.

Looking at the picture and her height, I'm not sure she weighs 125 lbs. But it is none of my business.
