Default I did it before, so why am I having a difficult time starting again?

I'm very frustrated with myself. Here was my train of thought today before I fell of the tracks.

I work 6pm to 3am right now and it's thrown my system off completely. When I get home from work, I cannot sleep until 6AM (when most people get up or are already headed to work). I sleep from 6AM to 2:30PM most days. I take my 1st IP meal, which is usually coffee with IP RTD chocolate milk and the 2 vitamins. Drink some hot tea after a couple of hours. Then I get a massive hunger pain and look in the kitchen....IP packets, a bag of broccoli, and a couple of gallons of water. Yes, that's all I have in my fridge. I live alone.

So, logically, I have nothing stopping me from eating IP Meal #2 for the day, right? So why did I just order a pizza online?

*sigh* I was on IP back in July and had to roll off of it due to some expected surgery. I lost 12 lbs in less than a month when I was on IP.

So WHY am I having such a difficult time doing it now? SMH. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm so frustrated with myself. I think it's because I'm really bored with my life and with the current work project that I'm on. The short days isn't helping me feel "happy" either. I hate myself.

I'll start again tomorrow. I know I'm just delaying my transformation. UGH!

It sounds like you need more IP friendly options in your fridge. If it were me I would be looking in there and getting discouraged b/c I would feel like a monk. A monk that doesn't feel like eating brocolli! I'd say go grocery shopping and fill your fridge with colorful veggies that excite you.

If you notice that lunch is where you are weakest maybe you need to split your protein up between lunch and dinner?

I work 3pm - 11:30pm and I tend to get super hungry around 4 - 4:30 pm so since being on IP I will have a half my protein as a snack (ex: hardboiled egg) and then for dinner have the other part of my protein and some veggie I really love (Like roasted asparagus!) Or if I'm REALLY hungry I just go ahead and eat my whole "real meal" for lunch and have an IP packet dinner.

@Freebird, great that you are ready to restart! I don't have the same scheduling challenges as you. A couple of things that have helped me with hunger are 1) If I feel I must have extra food, I cheat with lean protein, like an extra chicken breast or some tofu. 2) the hunger pangs seem to correspond to the body burning up fat because I always had the best weight loss after these days; 3) you might need more food--might be worth checking w your coach 4)If necessary, I eat when I'm really hungry. There have been a few times when I had to eat all the packets by lunchtime and have salad or vegs for dinner & snack.. But I wasn't hungry anymore.
Try to be gentle with yourself, in fact give yourself a huge amount of credit for working to get healthy & recognizing when you need a little help!

I buy a huge jar of pickles and munch on them when I'm a little hungry... I also split up my protein so I do half for lunch and half for supper...

I agree, it sounds like you need to stock your fridge with some IP options.
