Default Hair loss from dieting

Hi all!
I was wondering what supplements to take to help stop my hair from falling out? I have gone from 140kg to 88kg in the past 6 months. Yes I know it's very drastic, but I have slowed down to about 1kg loss per fortnight. I was told that fish oil is good to stop hair falling out, is this right? I've been taking cod liver oil capsules but it hasnt done anything. Please help.

PS. I still get dizzy spells but I have the doctors all clear. go figure?

Thank-you

Daniel

You have more than likely cut too much fat from your diet. You need to eat at least 3 servings a day from the good fats - olive oil, nuts, etc. Taking capsules is not the answer.

With your doctor's approval, I would recommend an iron supplement. Iron deficiency, which is common in women, is a leading cause of hair loss. I would also make sure you take a daily multi-vitamin to make sure your body is getting all of the vitamins it may be missing due to your restrictive diet.

Good Luck! Julie
