Default Lost one of our kitty babies this morning
We took her to the vet a couple of weeks ago because she was wheezing. They took x-rays, said it was asthma, we were prescribed an inhaler for her (along with a air chamber for cats). It seemed to help a little. Then she got worse, we took her in Wednesday morning, they did more x-rays, and she had a couple masses in her chest. She was a 16 year old diabetic cat, so we didn't think she could handle a visit to the radiologist and surgery.

We brought her home kept her comfortable, hugged and cuddled with her. I woke up at almost 3 am this morning, with an uncontrollable urge to check on her. I did, and she was gone. I've never cried so hard in my life.

She was a wonderful kitty, and she will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pets (dogs and cats) have always been like children to us. My heart goes out to you.

My heart breaks for you. I had to put down my Cat last month it was terrible. I'm sure you gave her a wonderful life.

I just lost one of my fur babies last month.... (a dog)

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our last "baby" 2 years ago in August. It was so hard for us.

I know it's really rough. I had to put my cat down a little over a month ago. She was only 4 years old and she had cardio myopathy. It was sudden and devastating. I took her in thinking she'd just eaten something bad and then I had the vet telling me she wasn't going to make it. They had to put her down right then as she was suffering terribly. I could not believe it because she was so young.

HUGS! I'm going to be a basket case when my older cat passes, the one in my profile pic. She is truly my baby. I am so sorry for you loss.

Thank you all. We've had many crying bouts today, and her sister (not biologically, but they've been together since kittenhood) keeps looking for her. We put her to rest in the backyard, and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
