Default Just Getting Started...Again

I have come to realize that the only way I can lose weight is to go low carb. I lost over 40 pounds on Carbo Addict's and then got happily married and gained it back while my husband lost 104 pounds. Now my knees hurt so bad when I walk that I have decided it's time to get serious.
I started Atkin's yesterday. I've done good so far. I went out to eat tonight. It was hard telling them to leave off the potato and just bring the steak and salad. But you know once I started eating I didn't miss the potato.
I have also come to realize that if I visit this forum daily I do a much better job. The tips are great and I feel like I'm not alone. So I guess you all will be seeing a lot of me. I have a looooong way to go.

I just started back on induction again on Sunday. I never have been able to stick with it. I am the type that will quit if I make one slip. I am really trying to do better this time. I haven't had any problems staying on so far. I am already throwing ketones and I feel a lot better.

Good luck and hang in there.

Carol

Post your high/current/goal in your signature and update it daily. It keeps you motivated to stick with it for bragging rights! As lame as it sounds, that's one of the things that's kept me going. That, and coding a Web application that charts my weight using data I enter with a PalmPilot. It lets the world know when I'm cheating, so I better stick with it!

Thanks Sean my current posts have that info. I hadn't been on the forum in about a year and it took me a while to remember how to update my info. Got it covered now.
I'm also using fitday on a daily basis. Seeing what I eat broke down really helps keep me focused.

Hey Sean, you've almost lost 100 pounds, cool! Did you do it all on low carb?

I went from 330 down to 295 a while ago on Weight Watchers but just couldn't take it anymore. The 295 down to 243 drop has been on Atkins.
