Default Last night I ate a LARGE pizza and a HALF DOZEN WINGS

Oh and a muffin earlier that afternoon. Back on the horse. I've been eating in a much more conscious way today. BUt I just don't know how I led it slide. I forced myself on the scale this morning and it was depressing.

I really thought I had a grasp on my emotional eating issues.

Aw I am sorry u slipped. Have you been overly depriving yourself? I have never been a binge eater just a poor eater in general , don't know if you are. If so what triggered your eating? It's great that u r moving on and getting back on the horse. We all make mistakes.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Everyone slips up now and then, just keep moving forward is the only thing to do. Let it go, try to not do it again and move, move, move your body!!!

I had not been depriving myself, I had been sort of slipping slowly off the plan towards it. Back on today. I work with a nutritionist and purposefully I have one cheat meal (and sometimes on "reasonable" cheat day) a week - so I don't feel deprived. Not sure what happened. Was feeling down and just wanted pizza.

Back on the bandwagon. One pizza doesn't make you fat - its doing it all the time that does. I just need to move forward and try to nourish my body with healthy foods.

I find when we make a choice that we consider a mistake/off plan/etc., by coming here and acknowledging it to our 3FC friends somehow makes it easier to move on from. It's not a secret, there is no more guilt.

I'm happy you came here and got it out to us and made your plan to go back to eating healthy, putting it behind you.

That's huge in your (our) weightloss mission and I am proud of you.

I'm impressed! You didn't hide it, you admitted it, owned it, and have already decided that you're going back on plan. Well done!

Good for you for recognizing it's the big picture that matters. Sometimes we just need to get these cravings out of our system.

Don't beat yourself up... We've all been there!

My family usually orders pizza maybe once every 2 weeks... I used to never be able to stay away... Now instead of eating the pizza they get... I'll get one slice of pizza for myself that's topped with grilled chicken and TONS of veggies- spinach, brocolli, mushrooms, peppers & tomatoes! It also comes with very little cheese... It's simply amazing and I'm so satisfied afterwards. This way I don't have to feel like I'm depriving myself & miss out on pizza with the family!

Try making substitutions as often as you can so you don't feel like you're depriving yourself completely and end up binging.

Everyone - thanks for your support and words of encouragement. This forum is wonderful. Not only was I able to purge some of the guilt by "owning up" to my binge, you guys are so supportive.

Yesterday was great and I stayed on plan. The weight gain I saw yesterday morning bounced right back off ... and I'm feeling good.

The scary thing is - we have a special interview weekend at school where we host potential new grad students - and that involves a lunch at a sandwhich place, a potluck dinner, and a pizza party at my house ...... I will be strong! I plan on having 2 slices of pizza and other than that eating healthy at all other events. I can do this!
