What's your plans for the Superbowl? We will still be on P1. (will be day 12 for us.) What are you plan on having? I want us to enjoy it, but want to stay on plan! We've always had a party and lots of food! This year it's going to be a minimal party if at all anyone comes over, so if no one comes over, we should be 'ok' but still....

anyone ever plan 'snacks' for dinner on P1?

I'm sure there will be lots of suggestions.

My first is Taco Bake served over lettuce and other Phase I veggies. This is like a meal when done this way but can also be used as a dip - no tortilla chips but veggies.

If you want something more meal-like, how about chili? Lots of Phase I recipes in the entree section could be served with salad.

There are lots of recipes around here for snacks and party fare. I dont know what the 'traditional' superbowl snacks are but here is a small list of what pops to mind:

Mixed nuts
Cheese Tray
Deli meat & pickle platter
Veggie tray w/ dip (this spinich dip is said to be excellent) ... or some hummos
Roasted Chickpeas
Pepperoni 'chips'
Bean Salad (w/cukes, tomatoes & balsamic..yum)
Stuffed Mushrooms (or tomatoes if your not a 'shroom fan)
Jalapeno Poppers

....thats all I can think of at the moment, if I have another brain storm I will post more.

ETA: Thought of a few more
Deviled Eggs
Cucumber boats w/ chicken (or tuna) salad
Shrimp w/ SBD Shrimp sauce

I made something last year that was kind of buffalo-chickeny, it was chicken breast cubes, smooshed with lowfat or fat free cream cheese, and some seasoning. I crammed it into celery ribs and yum

We do snacks for dinner all the time!

I always, always make http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/snac...ml#post4538203

I also make buffalo chicken tenders (1 tablespoon of margarine, 1/4 c hot sauce per breast, use half to marinade then put on the grill and cover with the rest after cooked)

I make a veggie platter for the dip and sometimes make queso (light Velveeta and Rotel tomatoes). I also stuff mushrooms with the spinach artichoke dip as well! This is TOTALLY filling and it's what we eat for dinner.
