Default I am starting induction and I didn't buy low fat cheese, I bought regular, is....

Is this a problem? I bought regular because I was back and forth on which diet to do, Atkins or South Beach. I basically bought a mix of Atkins approved foods and South Beach. The cheese I have is swiss, at 6 grams of fat. Is this okay if I only have one or two slices a day? Should I stick with just one? I just started today. I also had 20 almonds (instead of 15), which is 9 grams of fat. The almonds are in a snack size package, portioned out that's why I ate 20 instead of the limit of 15. Should I consider this day not a SB diet day and just a regular carb counting day or a ww day since I just joined and dumped that diet? lol

trying to get over a small stall to get into the 140's.

thank you inadvance!

I don't know much about this diet; however, just limit the amount you eat!

Well, that's pretty much a given lol, and I am really good at limiting what I eat, infact, a little too good, but my question is specific to this diet that's why I posted on the SB diet section.

While South Beach recommends low fat cheeses and dairy products, I have been using full fat cheese (because my husband refuses to eat the low fat kind) and am still losing weight. Like you said, be sure to limit it to one or two ounces per day and you should be just fine.

I also use the full fat cheese because I don't like the taste of the other but I do check to make sure its not over 6 grams of fat. I'm still losing weight too so it must be okay.

I often use smaller amounts of full fat rather than low fat. Give it a shot, if you stall you can always cut back.

Good to hear this from others with more SB experience. This was kind of my one issue with SB. I am not a big fan low fat things - especially cheese. I too prefer a smaller bit but the real deal.

I got lost in the mix of all the diets listed in the first post, but it sounds like the other ladies here answered it for you.
