Angry Finally got below 200!!

Okay so not much below: 199!! But I am so excited to be below 200 I can't stand it!!!

Now my goal is to NEVER get to 200 or above!!!!

I started here on 3FC in January at 230 lbs and I had a sometimes tough battle and sometimes easy battle with food and exercise since January, and every pound lost was a gift, but something about seeing that needle rest BELOW the 200 mark was pure JOY!!!

I thank 3FC for my success so far, the folks here are incredible! So supportive! I have come to depend on 3FC!

Anyway, I still have a LONGGGG way to go to get to my ultimate goal of 130, but thought I would stop and take a minute to bask in my success so far!!

31 down;69 more to go to get to goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I must say I"m jealous..lol I've been between 204 and 206 for the last 3 weeks now and it's driving me crazy! 199 is sooo close but still so far away. Like you, I know seeing that mark UNDER the 200 will just be a thrill. I cant wait! Maybe soon I'll be able to come back and say..ME TOO Keep up the good work!

Angry Thanks!

Thanks Ladies for your Congrats!

I normally only weigh once a week, but this morning jumped on the scale to make SURE it was still below and WHEW! it was 199 again!

Keeping that I will stay there!

I know what you mean about being so close, I danced between 205 and 207 for a couple of weeks and stalled alittle and didn't think I would ever get here! But FINALLY something gave!! Who knows??

Thanks again!!

plb112467,

That's awesome! I remember when I got under 200 I was SO excited, but then I got to 196 and the scale wouldn't budge! For about a month, it stayed the same. Finally, after that plateau, I lost down to 190 and then another plateau. Now that I'm close to 180 the scales are stuck and have been that way since August. Of course, I've been eating anything I want so it's understandable. I haven't really gained, so I guess that's good!!! :/

Keep up the amazing work. You're well on your way to a healthier you!!!

Congrats...I was the same way.

There's something about seeing that first number being a one that is simply thrilling.

Plb...I'm still working on meeting your goal of hitting below 200. Today was my weigh-in and I am now at 200.5. That is sooo close!!! Hopefully soon I can come say that I have succeeded. I started out at 242 in October so I refuse to give up now. Just thought I'd let you know that maybe soon I can be in your club. lol

I pretty much just cut back in general. I didnt make any certain foods off limits or follow a specific type of diet. I did make some changes such as very rarely eating fast food anymore...instead of Burger King, I now eat Subway...if I do eat at a fast food place, I eat a grilled chicken sandwich rather than a double cheeseburger. Instead of large fries, I would get a small order or salad or the side...eventually I quit the fries altogether. I try to do really well foodwise during the week, but on the weekend I allow myself a meal of anything I want regardless of calorie. I dont mean I overeat, I just eat what I want and stop before being miserable. If it's ice cream I want, I have it...if it's a steak, I have that. BUT I get right back on track afterward. Guess it's kinda like one reward day. I also starting using my AirWalker, a glider type exercise thing. I could only do 5 min at first...I honestly thought I couldnt even make the 5 min..then worked up to 20 min and a few times even made it an entire hour. When the weather turned nice, my sis and I started walking. We've been walking now for about 6 weeks and we're up to 3 miles a day. My calories ended up around 1350 for the first several months but I reached a plateau and stopped after losing around 35 lbs. After raising my calories to about 1500 a day I am now losing again. I kept reading how keeping them too low would stop the weightloss and I found that to be very true. It's been a simple plan but it's working for me. I just know that I cant rule out carbs or sweets or anything else for that matter. Doing that just makes me end up binging. I was determined to do something that I knew I could do for the rest of my life. I'm making a lifestyle change, not following a 'diet'. I think that's what has made the difference for me.
