Default I'm back to give it another try

I was on atkins for almost a yr lost 25 pd's first 3 months after that nothing for 7months? I hope that this time i can figure out what on earth it was that i was doing wrong the first time around? I have starting walking 2 miles a day for the last 3 week's. So maybe the second time around is going to be the charm.

You may not have been doing anything wrong. Atkins is a great diet for those that it works for but even DR Atkins says it don't work for everyone. I must say you are very brave to go back to a diet that you were on for 10 months without a loss! And what a strong woman to hang in there for all that time.

I would offer this advice tho. This time if you are doing the diet correctly and still not losing I would n't waste an entire year on that same diet. A lot of things come in to play not the least of which is insulin resistance, diabetes etc. I wish you luck!

Welcome back, Chuckie. Congratulations on taking up walking. That just might make all the difference. If not, may I suggest that you join some of us on the South Beach Diet. It's similar to Atkins in that you begin adding carbs after two weeks but it's different in that you have to control fats.

I just completed 14 weeks of Weight Watchers and lost 11 pounds. I immediately went to Atkins, and have lost 4 pounds in 4 days. Not everything works for everyone. Try something new until you find what works for you. It's out there. You obviously have the willpower to stick to a plan, so you can make it! Good luck!
