Default Does anyone else do this?

I'm sure you do, lol. But I've noticed I go through like... phases. Do y'all do that? It's like after awhile I just get burnt out and I just wanna chill out, and then I get tired of being lazy and I go back to going to the gym. I don't ever go off plan, really, but I do know I get tired of exercising a lot, haha. It never really lasts long, though. I've noticed, though, that the closer I get to goal, it's not necessarily the less motivated I get, but it's like I'm in less of a hurry to get the rest of this weight off. I used to have my heart set on deadlines, but now it's just like, "I'll get there when I get there" and I'm just not that worried about it anymore. I've gotten in the swing of things; I feel like I know what I'm doing by now so being in a hurry just seems silly to me. Is that weird?

There was one point at the end of October that I burned out for about 4 days otherwise I try to never miss more than 2 days of exercise in a row unless I am sick. I know it gets boring and tedious but I have to stay on track, I have worked too hard to go backwards and when I miss a few days I can definitely tell.

^^ Oh yea, TOM will definitely throw a monkey wrench into your groove. I get wicked irritability and fatigue and seems to only get worse with age.

I'm not like that Lauren, but I wish I could be. When I don't follow my plan 100%, I'm off 100%. It sounds to me like you're listening to your body's cues and that's ideal as far as I can tell. Your attitude to let it happen when it does and not to force it is admirable. Congrats on all your wonderful progress and for having a great attitude throughout this process. It's not only a great recipe for reaching your goal, but also for a lifetime of maintenance.

You know, it just dawned on me when you said that that my "lazy" phase is usually the week before my period. I just get like "UGH DON'T WANT TO!" and then by the time my period rolls around I'm like, "LET'S DO THIS!" and I'm good until the next period rolls around, haha! I never even thought about that til just now, cause I made a mental note of it last night when I took my birth control pill. And the more I think about it, the more all of my "problems" happen during that week -- mood changes, craving "bad" food, feeling lazy, etcetcetc. All PMS symptoms! Whatd'ya know, hahaha.

No, it doesn't happen to me. If I miss exercise for more than a day or two, then I am either sick or on vacation. My physical and mental health crave it.

I have gone through so many phases over the months. All of varying nutritional and exercise consistency. I get bored. I get antsy. I haven't gone totally off plan for more than a couple days, but I've had weeks and weeks without working out. Luckily through all of my phases I've lost and continue to lose. YAY!

I used to burn out, and push myself anyway. Until one day I was so burnt out that I stopped caring. Wish I had taken a bit more relaxed approach.

Yes I get like this by the third day of working out! I just want to rest! The gym gets boring.
