Default Myfitnesspal calorie intake allowance

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I seen this application for my iPhone. When I downloaded it and put in all my info on my profile, it says my daily calorie intake is somewhere in the 4200's range. This really confuses me. Isnt that really high?

Thanks in advance.

Mine has me at 1200 calories. I'm pretty sure you don't need 4200 calories! I would see if you input some data in wrong

Yeah that sounds strange. Is that for maintenence? Or maybe you accidently set it for weight gain. It has that option. I'd double check. Maybe goto an online calorie calculator and put inthe same perameters and see what your results are?

Yeah something isn't right. I would double check to make sure you put in all your calculations correctly.

My intake is set at 1470 per day. Yours will vary from others but 4200 seems way too high.

Make sure you set it for weight loss calories too...but depending on your bodyweight that could be right.
