Default didnt eat enought today argh!

Was fine until late afternoon then we went new car shopping and ended up at the dealership until 7:15. I came home and ate my 8oz of chicken but there was no way I could force anything else in. I guess its better than erring on the side of eating too much but.... Guess I just messed up my weight loss for the week. Did I just sink myself???
On the plus side I have a beautiful new vehicle!

Nah -- you'll look sexy and skinny in your new ride! One day too much or too little isn't going to be a big deal in the long run. If you don't eat enough often enough, your body will go into "starvation mode" and store fat etc. but one day is just one day. That's just my opinion and I'm no "IP MD"

One night of missed veggies isn't going to make or break your week. Once in a while I am so exhausted by the end of the day I have missed my nighttime snack - not something I let happen often but sometimes life gets in the way of my diligence! You can have your last snack about an hour before bed, if you feel a little hungry you can always have something light, or even an unrestricted packet. If not, don't sweat it. Tomorrow you'll be OP AND stylin in a new ride!

This will never happen. Starvation mode as you explain it does not exist. The only way it could is if your body was able to turn water or sunshine into energy. It can't.

Your body can slow down it's metabolism but not by much...

Well there ya go -- you learn something new everyday. I'm sure I'm not the first one to have been told that if you didn't eat enough your body would go into starvation mode. That's why I put my "I'm not an IP MD" disclaimer in there

Thx all! I needed to hear that. Before I started IP I was over 300 and then lost 40 lbs. The nice thing abt new car shopping is that I didnt have to worry if I fit behind the wheel! The things you dont have to think about when you finally treat yourself right! IP43 - I though the same thing about starvation mode! We must have gone to the same schl for our MD's!!! hahaha
