Default Borderline Diabetes

Hi everyone,

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I will try here.

When I went to the doc this past Wednesday, it was discovered that I am a borderline diabetic, and given a meal plan recommended by the American Diabetes Association. So far, I have dropped an additional two pounds, and not feeling as tired. I also check my levels 4X a day; and discovered yesterday a couple of times my levels were lower AFTER I had eaten than before....anyone else ever had this? It wasn't seriously lower, but I am curious nevertheless/

Has anyone else here had any success with the ADA recommended plan? I must admit since going on it, I don't need the Xenadrine pills; I feel great on the meal plan alone.

It's been awhile since you posted this, so I don't know if you'll check it or not. I'm not a doc, but I asked mine about the bs being high after eating. Basically the bs plunged after eating sometimes because the sugars set off the small insulin response it can muster. Then, when its done its do, the sugsrs climb again. Best that they remain steady. If I could get mine to stay under 150 without meds, I'd shout for joy. That's why I'm determined to lose the weight.
