Default New and hope to gain support, encouragement, strength, and accountability.

Hi all,

I am new here and wanted to introduce myself. I have been on the diet roller coaster for years and have seen my weight balloon from 130 pounds to 232 pounds. The heaviest i have ever been. I had my son 2 years ago and am now 20lbs heavier than my top pregnancy weight. Due to my weight I have also become somewhat of a shell of my former personality. More quiet, subdued and overly self-conscious. I am usually good at loosing weight however continue to have the same problem. As I loose the thought enters that it is okay to cheat because i have lost x amount. this has been a constant issue. I believe that i am now finally in the right frame of mind to begin my journey to regain me. My motivation is to be the healthier, active, agile mommy that my son needs and deserves! (also plan to start trying for another baby in about a year and need to get this weight off.) The stories i have read on this forum have been inspirational for me as well. I hope to gain reciprocal support, encouragement, strength, and accountability.

hi! i hear ya- i'm a new mommy of a 7 week old baby boy and am also doign this for my chid - you should be very proud of yourself for taking these positive steps for your son! best of luck to you

Hi all! I'm new here too, looking for support and encouragement. And some tricks and tips as I go! I've read so many stories already, and this forum looks like it has a great group of people that are really encouraging. I'm very excited to get started!
I tried the HCG diet about a month ago and did lose 10lbs, but the hormones in the drops totally screwed with my emotions. I have a tendency for depression, and those drops really put me in the pits. So I stopped. But I also stopped eating healthy at the same time, so I gained back about 4 lbs. Which may not sound like much, but it was enough to make me feel really tired and bad about myself. I hate that feeling. So here I am again, being really strict about what goes into my mouth, and doing some light exercise each day. I would do more, but I'm having a problem with my knee, it's killing me.
I can't wait to meet more people here, and hopefully have my turn to encourage others!
