I have been taking claritin 24 hour every day for the past few years. Coincedentally I have gained about 90 pounds without significant change in my diet or movement... I have researched it a little and there seems to be a LOT of people who gain weight while taking this for a long period of time. Has this happened to anyone else? I quit taking it now.. I have allergies to dust and pollen and pet dander. I am fighting through the mornings with a tickley nose and watering eyes. I just put some vaseline around my nostrils as a more natural way to catch the allergens before they enter my nose. It works okay.
Has anyone gained weight while taking a loradatine/claritin allergy medicine?
I notice I have a LOT more energy now since I stopped taking it. I wonder if I'm just being paranoid or if there's actually a correlation between weight gain and this drug.
