Default Journey to the Real Me

Hello,

I am trying once again to get a grip on this weight management thing. I'm hoping that I can use this site to help keep me on track.

I've started and stopped (which loosely translates to "giving up") many diets and exercise plans over the years. And I'm coming to terms with the idea that the problem may not be my weight, but rather my own attitudes toward myself, others and life in general. I'm finally willing to do the hard work associated with peeling away the pounds I've been using to "protect" myself from life.

I will try to be as authentic and truthful as possible on this forum and on the blog I plan to use. I hope to be a positive member of the 3fc community, to contribute as well as gain from the experiences of others. I want to say "thank you" in advance for being here and helping me believe that there is something to look forward to.

Welcome to the forum. One thing that has helped me this time is changing my outlook from 'diet' to 'healthier lifestyle'. So far so good. Wishing you all the best in your weight loss journey!

Tanya, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!

I will try to join a challenge group. I posted in the thread for The Firm workout videos to check in with my exercise today. But I will definitely look for other accountability-themed threads. I wonder if there is one for water intake. I know I don't drink enough water for sure.
