Question Not enough food?

Is it possible to not eat enough calories. I know Atkins says don't count calories, but should there be a minimum.

I am consuming about 1100-1200 a day and very satisfyd.
here is a typical day (I use fitday)

Breakfast
1 egg, 2 eggwhire omlette, with 1 oz of ham and 1 oz cheese
coffee

Lunch 1 1/2 cups stir fry vegs with 4 oz chicken breast (skinless, bonesless.

Dinner
3 cups romaine with caesar dressing ( 1 tbs ) 3 oz grilled chicken

no snacks, I had no appetite

This enough? should I be eating more?

I think it has something to do with how much you weigh. I weigh 300 pounds and if I only consumed 1100 calories a day my body would think it was starving and I wouldn't lose an ounce!

Hi Lost
If your losing, and your feeling good, then I wouldnt worry about it. Just dont let yourself feel deprived.

That's what happened last time I went off this WOE, now that you mention it! I think I felt deprived. First two days everyone looked like a cupcake or a bag of chips.. now I have stopped craving and hallucinating lol.... but i get pangs now and again.
I read an article about some women who did the WOE, but had one meal a week of anything they wanted. Anyone try this? Maybe a "reward" meal kept them more disciplined through the week? I think I would go back t the sugar cravings again.

Atkins says that once you go off it takes three days to get back to burning fat. He says if you continue to do that your body gets used to it and then you can't get into a deep ketosis. He strongly advises against this!
