Smile Newbie

Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself. I just signed up for WW (again) and will start attending meetings tomorrow(again). I have tried every diet out there even had weight loss surgery, I most recently was on the ideal protein diet and although it was appealing to me that i could possibly lose 100 lbs. in 6 months I felt horrible and cranky.

I know I can do this with the help and support of all of you and I look forward to reading all the posts and suggestions by all the members.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day

I'm lost on the website after my points got calculated I didnt know what else to do.. it gave me a lil anxiousness LOL Like i know it may sound funny but how do we start.. by looking up recipes or just putting in what we are eating and stay within our points? Also do we HAVE to use those extra points? sigh.. please help.. lol Thanks!

I purchased the monthly pass so I can reap the rewards of calculating everything online and using all of the tools and also attend the meetings.

Welcome it all can be quite confusing in the beginning but just move around the website and you will find all kinds of helpful information. I myself am not much of a cook so i don't follow recipes much, so basically i just calculate the food I eat. You absolutely do not have to use those extra weekly points and alot of people don't. I usually use them towards my after weigh in day to go towards a little something special, maybe dinner at a restaurant or a dessert.

I try never to deprive myself, because I know if I do, I will fall off the wagon.
The biggest bonus I love about the points plus is fruit is 0, mind you I don't go overboard on it but it gives me that little extra something everyday.

Good luck to you and your husband and we are all here for eachother for support, guidance or whatever. Never hesitate to ask a question or share your experiences.

thanks Everyone for answering my ?'s! Today is our official day following the points and i have to say its a bit nerve racking b/c although you can eat anything i feel like my brain wants to cut off everything! we may not be able to consume all of our pints for the day b/c we had a late start (breakfast was during lunch time) but so far i'm doing ok i gotta remember to drink water.. tomorrow we will have an early start so maybe spreading the points throughout the day will be much better.

I bought a couple of Smart One meals for those hectic days where I can't cook dinner and its kool cus the points our already on the box

If anyone has some helpful tips please share.. i dont want to mess this up.. I have alot of lbs to lose and i'm really looking forward to a healthier lifestyle!

As always drink lots and lots of water..........especially when you are eating frozen meals, the sodium content is extremely high. I do like the convenience of them though but I do stay away from them toward the end of the week as I get closer to weigh in.

You really need to try and eat all of your points as well because that is what your body needs, you don't want your body to think you are trying to starve it by not eating your daily points, I know it is hard sometimes to get them all in but do your best to get them in.

Please keep us updated on your progress and I hope you have a great first week.
