No, but I've considered it. If you do try, let me know what you did and how it went for you.

I haven't tried the actually fat fast, but I have found that a super high fat diet works wonders for me. I lost most of the 40 pounds I dropped by eating either twice a day (as much bacon as I wanted around 1 pm, which was usually around six or seven slices and 2 fatty burger patties with 2 slices of cheddar cheese around 7 pm) or once a day (2 burgers, 2 slices of cheese, 4 or so slices of bacon at 6 or 7 pm). This worked great for me, for around five months, until I started to feel like yakking at the sight of a burger.

I am not so keen on calorie restriction, though. Also, if I was gonna do the fat fast, I think I'd see what happened with the whole 1,000 as one evening meal. 200 cals at a time sounds kinda torturous to me.

I couldn't get into ketosis, and did the fat fast to kick start. It was successful for that. I don't love it, but it does help. Its only meant to be done for a few days (3-5 according to Dr. Atkin's book) not long term. THen you increase the calories, to 1200 then 1500 per day. I wasn't hungry, but you could wind up hating some food.

I tried it for 5 days. I didn't lose any weight and spent most of my day on the toilet. The only thing that came of it was that it brought attention to my gallbladder issues. I had over 100 stones when it was removed a month later. The diet may have worked if I didn't have gallstones.

Default Induction Plateau beginning of week 3 ~ Fat Fast???

I am starting week three of induction in Atkins and the scale hasn't budged in over a week. Im not always the best water drinker so I have religiously upped my intake to the 80 to 100 level but I now feel incredibly bloated. Im considering taking a vitamin supplement diuretic and/or doing the fat fast. I need suggestions quickly as I am extremely frustrated. Thanks for any input you might have.

Or start moving and increase your carbs just a little - to the next phase. If that doesn't work, fat fast is always an option.
