Exclamation New to Atkins, help!

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing well. Does sweet & low really have 1 carb per packet??!!! Well, this may explain some things. Any other hidden carbs in foods that sound carb-free? I appreciate everyone's help

Kobe - Yes it does, I also made the same mistake when I started. Did not realize sweetners counted. I was drinking crystal light like it was water, as a matter of fact, instead of my water In sweet & low and Splenda, they use a filler and it is the filler that has the carb. I believe that the liquid sweet & low/liquid sacarin has 0 carbs as there is nothing in the ingredients to say otherwise. Ladies, please correct me if I am wrong!! I just got some DaVanci SF syrups, they are made with liquid splenda and 0 carbs. I use it my coffee and I used it to replace the pourable splenda in a cheesecake recipe saving 12 carbs. Also, Diet Rite is made with Splenda and has 0 carbs. Jolly Rancher SF Jello is also made with splenda but is not carb free, has 3 I think. Check your labels carefully and remember that by law, it has to .6 or higher for a manufacturer to list a carb on the label. This does not make it carb free. I use the Atkins Carb Chart, you can download it from the website if you do not have the book. If the ingredients list corn syrup or sugar in the first part of the ingredients don't use it. Trace amounts (2% or less) should be ok. Hope this helps!
