Unhappy Would like to say sorry to everyone.

I am justing starting a thread to say im sorry for being all over 3FC, I had started a thread and someone was a wee bit harsh saying im all over 3FC posting about how good my diet is (which im not going to apologise for because it is bloody brilliant) Im really sorry if my threads have upset people, im just extremely motivated and excited about my the start of a new me and I am geniunely enjoying my diet so wanted to share with people and talk to everyone about what diets they are on and give/get advice and help tips.

I wont be starting a thread for sometime but I will still post to people if they are upset or want a diet buddy or if I see an interesting thread.

Sorry for my posts again everyone.

You haven't upset me at all. You are free to post anywhere you want as long as you stay within the bounds of common decency.
I post in several forums as many do.

Keep posting, girl. No need to apologize. There are some people on these forums (just like all forums) that only have negative things to say, and tend to be very abrupt. Don't pay them any mind.

Yeah, no apologies. I post on whatever I feel like, I don't see a problem with it. If you need to toot your horn, do so! :-) Congrats on your awesome diet too, those are hard to exact sometimes

You aren't showing off or pretending to be better than everyone else. Don't apologise or stop posting!

Do not feel that you have to apologize for anything. This is an open forum and you are free to start any threads and comment on any.

Someone really said that to you? WOW. I guarantee they were just jealous of you because you are doing great and they aren't. You don't need to apologize for anything bc you did nothing wrong. Please, how many time I have started threads complaining and crying about my life and my weight, I'm surprised I haven't been booted out. lol

This is where we come for support and to help one another. If that person has a problem with that, well then that's THEIR problem

Because, I've seen it happen many times before here on 3FC, I'm guessing the person became suspicious of your enthusiasm, because of your newness to the site. It's not fair, but it's somewhat understandable. This site attracts a lot of spammers, who start off by posting "my diet is fantastic" with the ulterior motive of promoting a diet product they are selling (which is not allowed). So when someone very new starts posting "my diet is fantastic, let me tell you about it" type posts - especially in multiple forums, it raises a red-flag in some people's mind that the person may be a spammer.

That makes sense.

Glad your diet is going so well!

Remember, you're also coming into a board of people who have been here and dieting for years. They are "over" the newness of dieting. They have tried X Trendy Diet or Y In-Vogue Diet and have gotten to the point where they realize it's about eating fewer calories they burn each day, which is not exciting or new or revolutionary. It's tedious and painstaking. They are mentally exhausted and really trodding through the daily challenges of staying on plan every day for months or years.

That doesn't mean you should be excited. I'm glad you are! Just remember that not everyone is in different places and times in their journey and may not meet your enthusiasm with the same. That doesn't mean they aren't supportive at all (I have found 3FC to be the most supportive forum online!), just "over" all the people coming here saying how great their own way of eating is.

Hope that helps, and good luck! Wish you all the best

Yes! I didn't say anything because I was reserving judgment, but I will admit I was very suspicious reading these posts.

Ditto this too! I thought about mentioning something along these lines, but again I just bit my tongue.

I'm glad I can count on other posters to say what is on my mind!

To the OP -- please keep posting about your diet and weight loss and any questions you have. This is a great place to learn and if you do hit some rough patches on the journey, we've got your back!

I have found that by and large the posters on 3FC are supportive and encouraging but occasionaly someone gets a little "testy" , maybe they got up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.
