Default Sunday

Good Morning Everyone,

The space coast is deeply saddened by the loss of our 7 astronauts. Hubby works at the space center and often meets the astronauts, so when accidents like this occurs, it hits the space workers pretty hard.

Eleni...I haven't bought my dress yet. My oldest granddaughter is getting married in August and I'm hoping that I can get a dress that will do for both. If I could find a nice mid calf length dress with a jacket to match that would be nice. I don't want a long dress for the wedding. Also, if I'm elected leader again, I can use the dress next year. And when I get to goal (about 42 lbs from now), I want to go on stage in the 'before and after' and graduate as KOPS on stage. I believe that taking part in these things make it more interesting for the the chapter.

Not much going on here this morning. I read the paper and worked on the computer while waiting for hubby to get up. He sleeps in on weekends. I can't sleep late. Our chapter is getting things ready for our Awards Day later this month and I am doing the program booklet for it. So, I now have it all saved on the computer. Just have to make copies later.

I hope everyone is doing well today. It is good to see all the new members posting.

Have a good day.

Nita

It is very sad that space shuttle did not make it safely home.
It shows us all once again that we only have this moment in time. It can change in a split second
Nita, i am too embarrassed to do the leaders while I am so heavy. But I will go on stage for before/after and graduation.
I will be cheering for you and will try to get a better picture this year.
I will probably get my sister to make me something when I graduate.
If I understand the new rules the grads still have to wear white but hem can be shorter. Everyone else can wear any color. It would be nice if they could wear slacks. I have seen a few and wondered how they got away with it.
Our chapter is getting a lot of new people. And one of our younger ladies is expecting her first baby. She is so thrilled.
I have done good the last few days. I even had my date with Richard (Simmons) today.
I have to go run some errands while Bill is running his. We are going to rent a tape this weekend as we are afraid we will start coughing up a storm at theater
have a wonderful day

Default Hi all!

We in Canada too are deeply saddened for the great loss of your astronauts. It was very very sad. I was driving to work with tears running down my cheeks when I heard the news on the radio. I was in college, watching TV 17 years ago when space shuttle Challenger blew up. We were all so shocked and saddened then too.

Well, on another note, I am on my week off from Body for Life, and start back full force tomorrow. I have gained a pound or two back this week, but nothing serious. Have enjoyed the break, but looking forward to some serious body building from here on out. The owner of the gym I work out at, has offered to help me train for competition, when I am at the weight I want to be at. I will hopefully reach that point in November and start training very seriouslly after that. Like the way my muscles feel.
Will get to TOPS Tuesday night, and hopefully not be too dissapointed. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Had a hard time believing we lost another shuttle yesterday. It brought back a lot of memories about Challenger. On that day 17 yrs ago we were on our way down to Children's Hospital to bring dd home for the first time after her birth. She was 12 days old. The Columbia took off a few days ago on her birthday, Jan 16. I'm seeing a connection I don't like.

I was doing good with eating until yesterday when I ate some chocolate beckoning me....and it wasn't a little bit either. I need to do much better today. I am unaware when I do it and don't realize how bad it is until I am done. Wish my body would zap itself when I do that.

Yep, grads still need to wear white, but I am happy that the length doesn't have to be floor lenght. Makes it easier to reuse a dress. I haven't seen it in writing yet, but I also heard from Coordinator that TOPS is doing away with the 2 year term limits for officers. I think they have finally realized that when you have a good one in there, why get rid of them, because many chapters have floundered.

Onto more housework! Have a great weekend all.

We are all so sad that the shuttle didn't make it home safely. My kids were on their way to Ft. Worth, but did not see or hear anything until they got there and stopped. It makes us stop and think about how we should never take anything for granted. Our prayers are with the families...but I have faith that they are all safely 'home'.

I have been a little under the weather the past few days. Have not eaten right. But plan to get back on track in the morning.

Our chapter is very busy...we are making costumes for the compition at SRD. We are hosting ARD on March 22, the following week we have Installation, then the next week we go to SRD. We have 14 going to SRD. Ususally have more.

I am working hard to have my KOPS status back before SRD. It is the first weekend in April. I have 7#'s to go. Don't want to stop there. I'd like to get down to 7 under, but will work on that when I reach KOPS.

Nita, you are doing good and I hope you find the dress you are looking for, for SRD.

Eleni, you are going to make it. You have been doing so well.

Are any of you going to IRD? I had thought about it but don't think I will make it this year.

Have a good night everyone...and a better day tomorrow.
