Thumbs down We're at the end of the month...

and it's time to revisit our January Challenge!!

Have you done everything you wanted to do? I'll pull up the thread so you can see where you were and where you are now. Official end day is Friday but I thought I would put up the thread for those who have already weighed in and know their challenges.

I am glad I did this challenge this month, my bod has thanked me for it! Even if I didn't have a complete OP month, it has given me the courage to go on and keep making the changes for the better!

1) My plan is Atkins and I am reinducting myself today!

I am still doing Atkins, and still liking the results I am getting. Less puffiness and clearer thinking. Always a great benefit

2) 5 pounds gone on the scale, I'm not weighing in till tonight to see where my numbers are.

I hit my goal the first week but I know I have backslid since then. -->Yeah! Did my weigh in and I maintained at 203!

3) My emotional goal is to find something else to do with my hands when I am under stress instead of putting things in my mouth.
I have done better in this department--one moment stands out, when dh ditched the car, I didn't grab food, I grabbed crafts!

4) My water intake goal is to have at least 2 glasses of water every time I put something in my mouth.

OK, have not been good here, I am finidng the problem is that water is too cold for this time of year. I am going to readjust this goal and opt for herbal tea instead. Some nice teas have medicinal qualities anyways so I hope to gain some benefit from this.

5) This is a big one for me and I really hate to exercise, BUT I vow to haul out my yoga tapes and do them at least once a day.

Strange as this may seem, I never did do the yoga, but it seems my exercise wish was granted! I have to take the dog for walks twice a day and she really does provide a great work out

6) My other goals have been well under way for a while, save my money, pay off my small credit card debt and start saving for school!

After this month, all I can do is laugh. Life obviously has other plans for me, so the number one thing is to pay off debt and everything else is on hold until that is done!

Now how did everyone else do?

Pooky, I did not post on the original thread but I want to play now!!

The goals I set for January were to get down to 145 and to re-acquire the habit of exercising. I've been exercising this month and in the last week have been 6 out of 7 days. However, I don't know if I'll get down to 145 by Friday.

I am revising my goal to get down to 140 lbs. by April 14. I've added 3 lbs. to my goal since I've decided to really concentrate on weight lifting to increase muscle mass. 137 with muscles probably won't be realistic for me to maintain in the long run.

Will you do a February challenge? I'll definetly post on that.

Thumbs up Not my best month.

January has been a little stressful for me. I'm under control now (TGFP - thank God for Prozac) and back on track.

My Goals:

1) Atkins - Stayed mostly OP with 1 weekend binge.

2) 5lbs a month. I wanted to make 165 by Feb 1st and I don't think I'll make it.

3) Not to graze when I'm bored. I've done much better at this.

4) I plan on drinking water instead of Diet Coke or Diet Dew. Don't want to talk about this one, I'll do better in Feb.

5) I plan to walk 5 days a week. And for at least 10,000 steps daily. I have more active days than non-active days. In my book that's a win.

6) I plan to not be bored. I plan to take some classes for fun, and make at least 1 new friend. Took 2 pilates classes. Made 2 aquaitances. Not a bad start.

January revisited - not a bad month considering the level of Clinical Depression I was in. I'll do much better in Feb.

Down to 167 this morning. That's 2 lbs away from my monthly goal. But I still have almost 24 hours. I wanted to be 165 on Feb 1. I'm taking the extra day. LOL Giving up caffine really made a difference. 1 pound loss a day difference.

Default Im pleased!!

I stayed on plan, did my water, and got in my exercise....mind you not as much exercise as I had hoped. But Im still pleased

Got on the scale this morn and found I had lost 4 lbs and 11.5 inches

That brings me down to 201, 3lbs away from my goal, but I suspect when my tom is over, I will be closer than 3lbs away. No matter, Im pleased!!

On to a successful February!! Good Luck to those continuing on the challenge

Robin - WTG! 11.5 inches is incredible. How in the world do you stay in your clothes? You should be sliding right out of them. LOL

Pooky - congrats on beating the emotional eating!

Thanks Pooky and Dyan

Do you find though that your losing weight differently than ever before? Its really weird.....Im still 200lbs, and fitting into clothes that I wore when I was 175. I have a pair of size 16 pink pants I bought at Northern Reflections years and years ago.....promising myself I'll fit into them. They fit! Are you finding the same thing?

Oh yeah! I keep hitching up these jeans I bought about 3 weeks ago. They're a size 14, but I know I could get into a 12 easy now. I haven't lost that much weight but I'm losing mass.
