Red face My Non-Scale Victory today was......

Share with us what happened that was not something scale related, though I don't mind if you share a great milestone here too! This is all about cheering each other one!

For me, I have these two high school friends from the old days. One of them forces us to meet for lunch a few times of year. I usually go, but groan about points and they order dessert and extra stuff just to stay at a table and chat for a long time.

This time, I said "let's meet in Portsmouth (NH, a really cool seacoast city with shops, restaurants, etc.) and WALK instead of just sitting at a restaurant for hours. We can talk while we walk. They went for it. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day, not hot and humid. Picture me with my sneakers on walking through the city instead of sitting there eating way too much food. A new tradition?

Yay Derrydaughter! THAT sounds like way more fun than hogging a table at a restuarant! LOL

My NSV today was giving my sister two pairs of pants that are way too big for me. Slowly getting rid of all the clothes that don't fit! I even have them stored in a different room now!

I walked during lunch hour, after eating under an umbrella at a table set outside and next to Devil's stadium and worked up a light sweat. It felt great to do that and get some fresh (albeit Newark) air.

I ran on the treadmill last night and did a 10 minute mile, and then another 5 minutes after a little walking break! I am so proud of myself LOL.

And the walking around thing sounds like a much better plan then restaurants, me and my friends love to walk around (the mall).

I wore a skirt for the first time without needing a pair of spanx or pantyhose underneath to keep my thighs from rubbing together. They don't touch anymore!

Great job, I love that comment about legs not rubbing together anymore! Such a great feeling I'm sure! Tossing away old clothes that hang off you is a good thing!
One of my WW leaders of the past said that hanging on to clothes that are too big is just asking for trouble. If they are too big, give them away!
One brilliant member of a WW group posted a notice there that she had clothes to give away. People who were bigger than she was and shrinking were so happy to have her stuff.

This might sound silly, but I am extremely stressed due to a huge work deadline.

I slept my full 8 hours last night.

HUGE victory.

I belong to a WW at Work program. Each new session, we need to have 15 paying members. Got an email last night (I check my work email from home), and it said there will be no meeting this week, as we are 3 members short. I had been hungry and in eating mode all day yesterday, so a big part of me said "Well, now I can go eat, since it won't matter tomorrow!!" But, I drank some Crystal Light, read my book, and went to bed. No unnecessary snacking for me!

I did a 3.40 km run yesterday (farthest I've ever ran) Had to cool down couples of time, but manage to do it in 28 minutes I'm really proud of me this morning!

Wow way to go ladies! I love NSV very inspirational. When I read about other peoples NSV it motivates me big time. So yesterday around 6pm I motivated my mom and me to go for a 4k walk with the pups.

Keep up the great work everyone!

I cannot wait for that day!

When I weighed in today, my leader was talking to me about my week. I noted for her that I drank 18 PP worth of beer Friday. She was impressed! you know why? She was impressed that I tracked it! (BTW, I did lose this week even with 18 PP of beer )

Default You are doing great and thank you!

You guys are awesome.

I was feeling a bit sad today as I kind of blew it yesterday... but your NSVs made me feel as if I were accomplishing them right along with you.
It gives me hope about getting back on track, no I won't say getting back on track. I didn't really get completely off track, but I used points plus I had been hoping to save for the weekend.

Activity needs to be my best friend today.

So, the NSV is not to be found for me. But, as the creator of this thread I need to be here and support all of you. I need to be inspired by you too. Today you are all going to carry me fourth. I shall have a "perfect" ww tracking day where I also will have activity that will help balance off the extra points I ate yesterday.

I did walk yesterday, though, and have to write down how it all works out. Perhaps things are not as dismal as I think at the moment.

Eating out and being social with people is my biggest downfall as far as sticking to my program. One day, I hope to have an NSV and tell you all how well I behaved in a restaurant. So far, I have no idea why I can't fix this thing. I get in a restaurant, I see the menu and it's like something wrong in my brain and I can't stop myself. I try to look up places ahead of time and pre-select meals and that works sometimes, but yesterday I didn't know where we would be eating. Lunch was later than usual for me and I was starving...
Can I at least say that my NSV is that I am HERE today talking about it all and trying to reason it out? No victory, though. But, I cheer you all on and hope to have my own victory to report later. : ) There are peaks and valleys in this and we need to power through the valleys.

My NSV is that I got up and ran this morning before daybreak 2.5 miles. I am just getting back to running after several month break. I have been swimming in place of running and have been very surprised how good the swimming has kept me in shape.
